Apparently the petition is for lots of "other things" too
Any chance the community can have a list of what these other things are?
I think it might be important to those who like to know what it is exactly they are signing their name to.

Well, if you are agreeing with someone who's being insulting, you do have to answer for that as well.
I agree that there's a lot of negativity about what EM has shown to us, and from where I stand, most of it is justified, but look at all the different people who express it. Not everyone is insulting to the devs nor does everyone dislike everything nor does everyone pick on even the most trivial things. In fact, most of the people voice their concerns quite reasonably, respectfully and about things that are crucial to them.

No, it's not. It's a pretty fair description of
some people in here though (excluding the obvious exaggerations, of course).
Hell, even I don't like all the things that EM are going to do with the new Thief, but I've found a lot of things to be happy about as well. And I certainly don't mind people having differing opinions, as long as these opinions are presented in a way that doesn't belittle anyone else's opinions. It's the elitist attitude of some folks that annoys me.

I agree with this and have never said otherwise. In fact, when I post I often make a point of saying "SOME" people. I already said previously that it is a very small group of people with very big mouths.

What I would NOT want to see: climbiing gloves, load zones, modern setting, auto save, third person only, having to kill someone

Ok, fair enough, but if that's all you list, it seems to be that you would be happy with nearly anything with Thief written on the box. Just from that, Duke Nukem would be passable.
I really want to think you are just a regular fan, but you don't do anything to separate yourself from EM. You list four things, and they are all things we know are not in the new game. You seem unwilling to say anything that may conflict with what gets released later. You say you are a fan; so be one! What in the original games did you like? What in the original games did you like enough that their absence in the new game would be disappointing to you?
EDIT: you added a fifth thing, but something that again, is already been addressed by EM. I guess Duke Nukem doesnt work anymore. But the point stands.
