Well, Im always glad when you are around. I feel a sense of pride, because you truly understand the ways of classic gaming, and like jtr7, you speak your views on gaming in an eloquent way while *never* dropping yourself down to a lower level to attack others or name call. :
Thanks, I appreciate that.
I can't say I've never slipped and I can't say I haven't wanted to unleash a furious rage at times, but I do my best to keep things in perspective and be respectful.

Watching you dealing with ToolFan2007 so politely while he hounded and hounded is where I really decided to try a new approach. It's scared everybody ever since. TF07 started it!

Clueless.

There are actually several news articles floating around, and most of them are 10 - 8 hours old. So, it seems like we're starting to reach the gaming sites.
Also, there has been 500 signs today (April 15th). Cheers, guys! :)
Thanks for the support.

The article says that it's insulting to the writers at LGS that we say SR really defined Garrett, but isn't there a link in this thread that quotes someone from LGS saying words to that effect?
You know, how they wrote conversations specifically to make use of SR's voices?

Yup, and that his improvising would inspire revamps of existing levels to take advantage of things he would come up with on the fly.

I read the same article, RS & NH, and I distinctly remember reading how one of the devs cited an instance wherein SR said something in his Garrett voice and the devs revamped that whole level because of SR. Perhaps Miss Shaw-Williams should've consulted with some of the devs who actually worked on TDP & TMA and worked with SR before making such a statement.
Calling jtr. He'll know, if not have a direct link to that old article. (I'm too lazy to search the forums for it.) ;)

Captain Spandex is the one who cited it in his vid. I re-listened to the podcast with Randy Smith and Matt Weiss at MIT and they talked about S.R., of course, and how Randy was the one who suggested how Garrett should sound and helped S.R. dial it in. For TDP, he also credited Laura Baldwin, Terri Brosius, and Dorian Hart for writing Garrett's words for the most part. Other than that, ask the Captain.
Without transcripts it's really hard to re-find some great material.
