Answer this honestly if you're able - can you really blame people here for being skeptical of everything you say when A) you moderate the official EM forums, and B) everything you say about the new Thief game is positive and you're never critical of any decisions EM makes? How can we take this seriously, as if it were you just stating your "personal opinion?" So, in short, even though you take all this as a personal attack, just you posting here affects the discussion of the game. Tbh, I think you should have some type of label under your user name (like where mine says "Southquarter.com") that identifies you as an EM moderator. Otherwise, how will new people here know and be able to judge what you say accordingly?

I very respectfully disagree on just one point of your post, Brethren. Including a title from another forum which would include the word Mod or Admin may lead some to believe that that title carries some sort of weight here at TTLG, regardless of the fact that the bearer of that title is just a regular member like the rest of us.
I do rather like yours, however. Southquarter. Says it all. :thumb:

I ALWAYS answer honestly... hence the current problems. I could pretend to dislike something and then all would be well in the world on TTLG. :cheeky:
I'm not actually blaming people for anything, I'm not in any way emotionally upset by it... I'm just bored with it. I have responded to the same posts over and over and over again and I have explained in full the situation - it isn't my fault these people don't read and understand my replies and, instead, prefer to repeat the same questions and accusations over and over again. All I have done now is ask these people (and they are only a handful, including yourself) to take the matter to PM because its so boring for other members who don't have a problem with me to have to read.
So what if I am a moderator elsewhere? There is no hand that feeds me. I am a free person. To explain again, the reason why I am not critical of any decisions EM has made is because there is NOTHING I have seen yet that I would criticise them for, so far. Again, I have given examples previously where I would criticise them if the information we have was different, eg. if we had the climbing gloves back again and the game was all third person. So far they have ticked all my boxes. I am not going to apologise for having different tick boxes to you.
A label under my username identifying me as an EM moderator would be utterly irrelevant on this forum because I'm here as a normal member like you are and have been since 2005. People should be able to accept my posts as they do any other person. Such a label also encourages more of the nonsense we're currently having to endure and it would also go against the few people you support because they complain that I am the one apparently bringing up the fact that I'm a mod; when it isn't. Such a label would surely rile them further so I don't think that is such a good idea. Also, is this idea supposed to offer some sort of solution? If so, I don't think it would make the slightest bit of difference to the way certain people go all hyperbole on me. The solution is simple... these people who continue to bring this matter up need to stop. Its that simple. I don't ask for people to take my posts seriously, or to agree with me... I really don't care. Its really down to these few people changing their behaviour. I am not doing anything wrong by expressing my honest views. I'm not going to pretend I don't like something just to please these few people.
The other solution is to take these matters to PM; as previously suggested.

I just don't recall you being here that much until very recently, not that I really pay that much attention. But I imagine others may have that thought in their mind's too, and they could take that as looking like some sort of motive behind all the recent posting activity.
But, it's like you said before, you come here to talk Thief because you love to talk Thief. Yet I think where people are...I guess I wouldn't say suspicious...are confused and dreaming up clandestine motives is that you're talking Thief here instead of the Thief forum you moderate.

I've been a member on TTLG for many, many years but frequented the Thief Fan Missions section the most... but then this new section launched to discuss the new game... so I migrated. Nothing abnormal in that.
I talk Thief on the other forum (and others) too.

Yeah, I can see that...and totally understand! :D I myself have posted a couple times on the other forum, but found the discussion to be mostly inane babble. :o So, I keep coming back here for a more substantial debate amongst people I consider my "internet friends" since 2008, and can fully see why you are doing the same. :thumb:
