Eidos will censor anything derogatory, racist etc, as per the rules.
Personally-speaking, I like this sense of responsibility and maturity toward others.
If reports are received, it is acted upon as quickly as possible.
It is irresponsible and immoral to delete honest, thoughtful, observant commentary, simply because Eidos and their servants do not wish to be held accountable for their ill-dignified actions.
For example, if someone were to say something like..."Eidos is deleting threads about changing the voice actor in their forums. That kind of behavior cannot be tolerated, no way I'm buying this game."
...That kind of thing would be instantly censored for simply being against the vested interests of Eidos...Such ugly behavior should never be tolerated by any self-respecting individual.

It wasn't.
The word deleted meant some members took offense and reported it. It certainly violates the ToU. Hence deletion... and rightly so.

:laff:...What a lying joke...You actually expect us to believe the massive amount of deletions are because "some members took offense"...You continue to insult the intelligence of those around you.

Cronies and phonies and kiss-ups. :joke:

Why is it a lie and why is it a joke? The word is offensive because it mocks particular accents.
What do you mean by the "massive amount of deletions"? What massive amount? It is ONE word.

Well I hear they delete any links to our petition whenever it gets put up, I'd say that's pretty despotic of them.

You are talking about a completely different matter here... and it has been addressed already with an honest answer, of course.

Of course it is...and that's just another example of their poor behavior.

To be fair to Eidos, new Thief has been getting beaten up pretty regularly over there lately, and I haven't noticed them censoring a lot. The petition, yeah it sucks that they're censoring that, but I think they're doing themselves more harm than good by censoring it.

Try to really think about it. As previously explained, if they allowed the petition on the forum it would create a false sense of hope, and some people would then complain about that too. EM have already responded and they have made the right decision in the case of the petition, imho.
