Finished. Quite a good mission. Is the voices of some of the people supposed to be slow and muffed. I had difficulty understanding what was being said.

I had the same problem with the voices when loading it from Garrettloader, but it worked fine from Darkloader. A very nice mission at any rate (devious ending) though I thought it was funny the way the guy in the upstairs room would wake up if I left the room too loudly but would sleep right through the masacre at the inn .
Also ammusing: In one of the rooms in the house at the end is a campfire with a dead thief and a patroling zombie. I tried to put the fire out but instead the water arrow just fizzled sending the zombie into search-mode. So it lurches towards the fire, gets stuck on it and explodes
 :joke:

When I start a new mission, the "Expert" level comes up as the first choice. I can cycle through the three levels by clicking the Difficulty button, but no matter which Difficulty I select, the mission always starts in Expert.
Any ideas???

As far as the muffled conversation, there seems to be a difference in quality between Darkload and Garrettloader. Those files are .mp3s, so maybe there is a difference in conversion???
I'll check out the difficulty settings tonight. That was something that was found during beta-test, but was fixed...that's got my puzzled. All you taffers should be playing Expert anyway:p , the only difference is loot amount.
Taff on,

Okay, I'm obviously being stupid, but I've swanned around the hotel, stolen stuff, found the locked door behind the guard, taken the water arrows, and there's been no massacre, no one will talk to me, I can't find anything.
What am I doing wrong ?:erg:

Ye must investigate...
There are two rooms to check out by the fountain upstairs. One is locked, the other is open...I'll be there's something in the open one!!
Eepcat, no kiss yet :nono:
BTW: I didn't have a The difficulty problem. Expert was the third option and I took it. Also the sound was good. Playing with Darkloader.
I missed 400 of loot and 2 secrets.
There's one area I can't reach:
the one where you have to climb two ladders. There's a ceiling which I can't get open. I looked for a lever or something, but couldn't find it.
 I guess that's where my surprise is?
Hint? Hint? :ebil:
