(2310) Sigh, of the last 15 items or so, 8 were not even slightly related to the thread's topic. I suggest you create a new thread "1000 clues you have posted to the 1000 clues thread too much. :p
Next is 2311.
D'Juhn Keep on 16/11/2005 at 05:59
2319) you wish you were a moderator of a thief forum so you could enforce your will on the "1000 clues" thread
Luthien on 16/11/2005 at 11:27
(No, I just enjoy the thread's topic.)
2311) You try a lot of other stealth games but eventually come back to Thief every time because they don't have the right feeling.
2312) You fear the day when no windoze version running on recent hardware will be able to run Thief Gold.
2313) But you're not *this* desparate because you know that one day PCs will be fast enough to run Thief in Dosbox (a PC emulator).
2314) You hope that the one-zombie-has-eight-limbs-problem in T2X eventually gets fixed so you can continue its Silent Project.
Night_Raven on 17/11/2005 at 19:34
Sorry if some of the suggestions have been mentioned. My memory ain't great.
2315) You come accross this topic and after you see how old it is, you decide to punish yourself. How the hell have you missed it all these years. Unforgivable!
2316) You spend a whole evening trying to figure out how in the world has this thread survived that much time.
2317) You decide to tease a few friends with some of your magnificent saves in a locked archive. Then you forget the password and can never retreive them again because all you know is the friggin password was damn long.
[True one]
2318) You read all the suggestions and realize they don't tell you anything new as you have already thought of most of them and even tried the majority.
2319) You stop responding to your real name. The only way to be addressed is by the name of Garrett.
2320) You watch the cutscenes every now and then. Even as a good night story.
2321) You have separate volumes on your hard drives for Thief:The Dark Project and Thief 2:The Metal Age.
2322) You reinstall the game every now and then because you believe it gets tidier that way and because you like the installation.
2323) You try to convince your friends Thief is superb and when they reject you charge with a big hammer and a battlecry: 'The Builder shalt guide my weapon!' and scare the crap out of them. Depending on how harsh they turned it down they could be simply KOed or hung on their feet (upside down) until they realize their mistake.
2324) You have a plan to open a bar, club, or restaurant with the same design like some missions (The Sword, THC, etc.)
2325) you actually believe someone than you will go inside.
2326) You have made at least 10 copies of your Thief CDs (since you can't find the game to buy it again). 10 copies - one never knows what might happen.
2327) You have put your original Thief CDs under a glass cover and if anyone (friend, relative, guest, etc.) tries to touch it, you are ready with a large whip to make them reconsider their intentions with a battlecry: 'Die taffer!!'
2328) You have the money, so... you do the same as 2327 but you put lasers, alarms, cameras and motion sensors.
2329) You have spent days surfing the internet, contacting the spirit world and stuff like that to find the best possible CD-ROM device for your original Thief CDs. Then this same CD-ROM undergoes a ritual of your own called 'The Blessing' so it's worthy enough to spin the holy CDs. You keep this CD-ROM in the same place as the CDs.
2330) You have kids named Garrett and Viktoria.
2331) You perform cursing rituals addressed at the movie industry for not making a Thief movie.
2332) [In case 2331 comes true] You perform cursing rituals addressed at the movie industry for making a movie which doesn't live up to your expectations and start a rebel force to burn the company that made the movie.
2333) You have memorised more than 90% of the suggestions in this thread.
2334) You have rewritten the Hammerites' postulates as they hadn't sounded fanatic enough for you.
2335) You have a separate computer dedicated to Thief and it's locked in a vault in your appartment/house.

You sound very annoyed. If you truly find this thread appaling, why the hell do you post? I'm not aiming for 3000 posts if THAT is what you have in mind. I simply decided to share my suggestions. Was I supposed to ask permission from someone first? From you?

...you need to relax just a tad, NR. We're all just having fun and MD's post was mild compared to some I've seen in ComChat! :cheeky: Chill a bit and don't take this stuff personally. :D (I think a lot of "older" members are just surprised that this thread continues to breathe!!)
I go to spread sweetness & light to the unsuspecting masses........
