Breaking news.

The decision on whether or not to include the enlarged stash size has been slightly delayed. As mentioned previously it would require some additional weeks of development and would remove one of the most requested features were we unable to include it. If it were to be included the concern is that it could render Diablo II unplayable, and repairing the issue after the fact would draw heavily on development resources. Which is also something we obviously want to avoid.
We hope to be able to reach a conclusion and decision soon on the future of the 1.13 patch, and we’ll keep you updated as it develops.

there's no point in playing when everything's gonna be wiped off in a week or two.
So basically everyone who plays D2 online is doing it for stats accumulation rather than, I dunno, having fucking fun? Sounds like a great game.

Is there a patch or mod that makes the entire game more palatable to a single player experience? I found it a big sack of unbalanced bullshit and quit midway through the jungle chapter.
Reinstall the game but don't patch it or install the LoD expansion. My single player barb was a killing machine in ACT3 nightmare until I installed LoD. After LoD tables were turned and I had a hard time even with those annoying fetish things.

since I don't have time anyway and this 1.13 thing won't get solved soon, I just won't play D2 in the next time soooo......not so important atm. and I can understand that blizzard does not want to put too much money in a year-old franchise that will be replaced soon(sometime).

It's that time of the month again!

We've recently completed a revised version of the Diablo II 1.13 patch that removes the increased stash size. A larger stash will unfortunately no longer be a feature included in patch 1.13 due to the previously mentioned concerns. As higher priority work continues on Warcraft III we're hoping to complete our quality assurance tests for the 1.13 patch in the next few weeks. But as always, the types of issues that may appear and take higher priority are rarely foreseeable. We continue to plan a release based on our best intentions.

Any reason why stash makes it sound like it has something to do with drugs.

So, after
eight months, (
http://forums.battle.net/thread.html?topicId=21730644778&sid=3000) it's finally on PTR.
I do admit I
wanted the changes to be almost entirely cosmetic, because it would make the whole thing so much more hilarious. But there are some good changes(
no more fucking iron maiden in Chaos Sanctuary, increased probability of getting high level runes and hammerdin nerf to name a few).

and you get commandline parameters and better scaling for widescreen, sounds nice. but now we can wait another 12 months until it leaves beta.
