Well that's a pretty clear-cut opinion!:D
Don't sugar-coat it!:laff:
Noted.;)
Let's see what we can do, then, in our small way to ensure (if we can be so bold to say so) there will never be a bad Thief ever again.

I have to say that even if all we get is TDS 2 then I'd still rather have it than nothing at all. DS wasn't all bad, just not nearly as good as the originals, I enjoyed the Cradle (even if it was a bit like Haunted Hill) and the plot was generally good just not as good as it was. Besides, a new game will allow Thief to survive when one day technology moves to a point where the originals no longer function (a very sad day indeed:().

What I appreciated most about TDS--aside from the real struggle our heroes went through, before and after getting their chance to finish the trilogy--was that it finished the trilogy! But what's more important than that, to me, is that they gave us much more insight into the older titles. Then add to that the generosity of the devs, Warren Spector, Eidos, and everybody who came together to get TDS made at all--who actually did their jobs for the most part--and I think it's fantastic. Sadly, as a GAME, TDS was, and remains, an acquired taste for me; whereas, the older titles were love at first mission. These things are why I hope the devs have left the rest of all the untold backstories written down and the new team will have it on hand.

Yes, as a game it is weak and I think they know that and will act accordingly when designing Thief 4. As long as they stick to the original plot ideas I have high hopes for them. Nonetheless, DS quality is better than no quality in my opinion.

If the heart is true, I...uh...heartily agree!

I hope this is true...
And I hope it's a true Thief game, not something modern.

It won't be modern. That's recent news, but it looks to be true.
