It was OK, not sure how to get it off my phone to do anything with it.

I assume like any other file. Why did you do it on your phone and not your PC? The the file would be right there.
Were you able to get a 3ds or obj formatted model out of it?
Can you control the polys to get low poly objects instead of ridiculously high poly things that we can't use?
Does it generate a texture map and texture from your photos too, or just the object model?

Have not tried, it does use the pictures you take to texture the object.... from what i can tell you have no control over poly count... you just take a bunch of pictures of an object, it uploads them and does the rest...sends you the results.

I've downloaded a few of the models made by this tool that folk have posted, and played around with the Iron Age Jug a bit.
1. You can get a .obj mesh file from it
2. The number of polys is ridiculously high. I passed the jug through vizup (a poly reducing tool) twice to cut down on the polys enough to be usable in Thief. With 97% of the original polys removed it still has 828 polys (!) and looks reasonably like the higher poly version.
3. It does generate a texture map, a 4096 x 4096 .jpg file.
No photo was taken of the underside of the jug, so the mesh has no bottom surface. That can be done, but would be tedious as the bottom edge is irregular.
Here is what the 3% of the polys model looks like in Thief:

My conclusion is that this tool could be useful, but there would be a fair amount of model editing necessary. And an automated poly reducing tool is essential.

Yep polys are my issue. This vizup you speak of, what version do you have? The site sells "desktop", "pro", and "ultimate desktop".
