now that I've gotten the Book of Ash, I can't get out of the prison area... the vine arrow can't be removed, and I've tried stacking rocks with no luck... I just want out!

what hammer room and what hammer objective are you talking about? :confused:

However, there is a mechanist objective and a planing office/maintenance room you've to get into:
