That sounds like something from a 80's Saturday morning cartoon.
Not that that's a bad thing.

It's golden that's what it is.
Speaking of Polinsky (Paul Wosinsky of 65daysofstatic fame) I mentioned earlier, his album is being streamed now at: (

It's all kinds of awesome with midi synths, four-to-the-floor danceable beats and yet it's still remarkably post-rock. It's like an even more danceable version of 65dos' We Were Exploding Anyways, which is a good thing even though you people masturbating to dark ambient and doom metal got scared for a bit.

3 minutes 20 seconds is not 3.2 minutes :nono:

That pretty much has to be labelled NSFW.
Because I'd like to hear how you explain watching THAT to your boss.

What the ha ha ha ha
Aaaanyways. 2011 has been sucky for me an music. I'm just not exposed to interesting stuff anymore. The popular stuff on the radio is all balls, stuff on alternate radio stations (like Kerrang, which used to have better rock/indie) tends to be crud too, so what do I do?
The last new (to me) thing I listened to that was any good was a track called Success by Interpol from 2010. I've mostly been listening to electronic stuff that I see was/is on at Tresor (in Berlin) so it's stuff like Adam Marshall and Swayzak, which is really minimal dance/tech.
What I miss is the interesting indie/guitar stuff I used to be into I guess, which is why I liked that Interpol track so much.

2011 is all about M83 and The Weeknd
Scots Taffer on 9/11/2011 at 02:40
Heard the name M83 floating around as of late but never heard them; just fired up "We Own The Sky" followed by "Midnight City" and loooooove the synth. One to check, I think.
But yeah, other than that and The Weeknd (which probably has been listened to death by now, where's disc 3 already?) and The Antlers' latest (which I can only listen to when in melancholy/pensive moods), I can't think of many albums I've gotten into that were released this year.
Couple of great tracks off "Torches" by Foster the People, but it's not a great album and their sound is too familiar, like a smoothie made out of MGMT, Maroon 5 and other light indie fare. "King of Limbs" had a couple of bright spots but overwhelmingly a warmed up and constrained rehash of "In Rainbows".
For me, I'll go through my usual process of stacking my ipod with ten bands I've never heard before that people are blathering about and I tend to end up with one or two new bands that join my yearly rotation.
