Ford and Lopatin - Emergency Room
It's like... 80s hospital show theme song pop. One of the guys (Lopatin) is (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3szYRzZqp4&feature=related) Oneohtrix Point Never, and while he's using what sound like the same synthesizers, they aren't ambient here.

Holy shit. Vern's list has riffs and hooks and obscure lyrics and generation X androgynous manwomen vocalists and everything. I was half afraid there'd be a Wild Beasts link in there. I'm disappointed and relieved all at the same time.
Listening.

It certainly isn't hipster-wise but Skinny Puppy have beat me down to a pulp with hanDover. I'm glad they're exploring some IDM pathways because producing yet another industrial album would be just recycling the old ones.

"Vigil" being the first, I believe? Who knows. It's Ulver. I mean, hell, you ever see the video for "It Is Not Sound?"
That's the kind of shit they play on TV in Silent Hill. The other Silent Hill.
I did see that trip. Might break down and get their new concert DVD.

A late arrival for me this year has seriously blown me away, Dimlite's new album "Grimm Reality". He's been solid gold for a while now, but this new album is way out there, sounding like some weird mix of jazz, DEVO, and dimlites earlier spaced out electro.

An old fave of mine is back and this year is getting heavy play in my truck.

That's a good one smoke.
I'm listening to the new Tom Waits album. (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yhd-qACvk8) "Hell Broke Luce" is the heaviest and catchiest track on it. It may well be the sweariest Tom Waits song ever as well. It's a marching song by a disgruntled soldier.
I had a good home when I left!
I had a good home when I left!
Right!
Left!
That big fucking bomb made me deaf!
