Vernon got me Jamestown. I read something about that game a few months ago then totally forgot about it and o boy do I like what I see: Bullet hell shooter with a silly story involving Martians and colonial america. Pixel art is very pretty, gameplay appears to be interesting (

LOVELY, VERNON :eek: :eek::eek::eek::eek:

Jason Moyer, noting that I have apparently bought all the good games off Steam already, very kindly bought me a copy of (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Channel_5:_Part_2) Space Channel 5 Part 2 so I can begin my pink-haired reporter adventures (as soon as my PC is repaired). Many thanks to you, Jason! :D

Whaaaat there's a part 2 of that game? ON PC!? :D I saw a gameplay video of the original a long time ago and it looked like THE BEST THING EVER! :D
Do let us know what you think of this sequel, and how the controls are on PC. :)

It's been ages since I played a game like Anno. What's best out there? Just don't say Anno
Problem is, I can't say anything else. Beyond Anno, the only games I can think of are are even remotely similar are SimCity and the old Sierra City Builder series (Caesar 3, Pharaoh, ect). Choices are limited here.

Matthew got me Transformers: War for Cybertron, which I will be sure to try out as soon as I verify that I'm not too close to my bandwidth cap :D

Ahem.
I just got myself a copy of Frozen Synapse as I've been eyeing it for a good long while now. As a lot of you know, it's some sort of TRON-ish X-Com/Tom Clancy hybrid, and the best thing about it is that it comes in twos: one for you, and one for a friend.
Thing is, I don't have any friends who're into tactical turn-based fluorescent neuromancer-tinged manshoots (or if I do, I just don't know them as well as I thought, which is totally their fault), so...
To anyone who's so inclined, send me a PM, and I'll gift my extra copy to the first person to do so on Steam.
Just realised there's someone who might want it. Sorry folks, offer's on hold until I get a confirmation.
Edit: And it's taken. Next time, maybe. :)

Take note, kids: it pays to be "friends with benefits" with Sulphur! (the benefits in question being first dibs on extra copies of Steam-games) Thanks a bunch, man! :cheeky:

Jamestown is really great. I hadn't touched a bullet hell shooter in a long time and I find myself surprisingly good at it after such a hiatus. I love the pixel art too <3
BTW, anyone up for a free (gratuitous har har har) copy of Gratuitous Space Battles? I have a spare one. It goes to anyone who posts something (text, youtube, song) that I really liek.

Jamestown is excellent, but the final level can fuck off. I dunno who the hell decided that introducing environmental obstacles and non-stop bullet hell boss attacks in the final mission was a good idea but fuck em.

I was happy to hear about a western shmup but Jamestown is just... ugh. Hurrr hurrr Mars colonialism that's so random xD And the music is just bad. And isn't it basically Espgaluda ripoff anyway?
