2.5D FPS games. - by Volitions Advocate

I'm on a 2.5D kick right now and I'm looking for some games that I've never played. Are there any out there that were made post-Build Engine? I've always wondered that.
I've played every doom engine game I can think of that isn't a custom wad or TC. I'm pretty much done on that front. Currently I'm playing shadow warrior and I'll move on to my unfinished Blood playthrough after that. I might hit Redneck Rampage when I'm done, I never did finish playing that one when I was a kid.
Are there any gems that the mainstream doesn't know about? Every time I google 2.5D I get stuff like Grimrock or Sim City or the newer sonic titles. I'm not looking for that. Want Doom and DN3D style.
Some games I've already played:
Realms of the Haunting
Dark Forces
Wolf 3D / Spear of destiny
Blake Stone + sequel.
Rise of the Triad
EDIT : Also played the Marathon games, although not all of them. Ill be visiting those as well most likely.

Does Rise of the Triads count?
Hexen?
There are a bunch of RPGs from the 90s that'd fit too but I don't know the names now. One had the word Shadow in its title I think.

You're probably thinking of Shadowcaster. I never managed to get anywhere in that, due to the combination of having been a bit too young and not having the manual because it came in some 10-in-1 Origin collection, but it seemed pretty interesting what with the shapeshifting and... well, the shapeshifting at least.

There was an obscure FPS I played years ago called Eradicator. Had some genuinely creepy music and tone.

That's not what 2.5D stands for (though it sometimes used to). I'd try to search for games using ray-casting instead, or simply sifting through retro FPS lists.
And for obvious technical reasons, there haven't been many games like that since full 3D engines came out. The closest you'll get is probably something like Gun Commando or (

As for a tentative list of fun old titles you may not have played:
Outlaws
Witchaven
Cybermage
You've played System Shock, I hope.

I forgot about Outlaws! I only ever played the demo. Putting that on the list.
I'll check out the other two, and of course I've played SS. :)
Eradicator looks really cool too. thanks guys, this is exactly what I'm looking for.

(
http://vlambeer.com/3/) GUN GODZ - It's new and it's free and it's by Vlambeer. Plays like Wolf3D and has a real nice hip-hop soundtrack and cool monsterdesigns.
Also: Strife.

(

Outlaws and Strife are both
must plays, IMHO.
(For me, a hallmark of "2.5D" was the absence of vertical perspective, so I can't see how System Shock would even qualify? Maybe my definition is bad.)

I'm not concerned too much with preserving the fidelity of the original experience. Strife is certainly amazing, but I much prefer it on GZDoom over stock dosbox. Mostly I'm looking for some nice sprite based shooters.
I also found this whilst looking around:
(

I remember Chasm, I've played it. Wasn't it full 3D though?

Chasm was a definite hybrid -- level architecture and rendering was what I'd call 2.5D, but there were polygonal 3D models within the game as well (enemies included).
