When using 3ds2bin for meshes, 3 .cal files plus all the .map and .mjo files must be extracted from Mesh.crf. What program should be used for extracting the .crf file? I've recently started working with DromEd, may not get involved with meshes, but I am curious nontheless.

Thief's *.crf files are literally just renamed *.zip files. Change the extension and use whatever you want, windows, winzip, winrar, 7zip whatever.

Thank you AntiMatter! I never would have guessed the similarity between files.:thumb:

I don't think it's wise to change those file extensions (unless NewDark is clever enough to look for 'x.crf' or 'x.zip'). It's easy enough to create a new file association.

Hmm...WinRAR did extract it all after the extensions were changed. I would have to see if another program would include .crf as an option for file associations.

I think he means to right-click on a CRF, and choose Open with... and then select your ZIP program, checking the "Always open with this..." option. After that you can simply double-click a CRF to open it.

Dark has always supported both .crf and .zip extensions. You can change them to zip if you wish, or just associate the crf extension with your favourite archiver (or use the context menu to open them.)
