Wow..oh wow,
This was an enjoyable blast and just for once I got every penny of loot without the need to use spoilers or ask.:D:D

This was a beautifully done 48 hr mission by one of my favorite authors. The atmosphere was incredible and I kept thinking something horrible would jump out at me...as in the past.
I will add my "Bravo"!

Well, turns out I'm the author of this mission. Yeah! Really!
Again thanks a lot for playing it, and giving me your votes. I really appreciate it.
Expect a gold version somewhen, as I built half of what was planned. I don't know when I'll do it though. Expect a small diary and design notes of my 48 hours nightmare as well.
And overall, consider it as a preview about what Rocksbourg 0 and Rocksbourg 4 will look like ;)

Double or Quits was good but it felt a little glitchy. The patrolling dude in the sewers had fallen off and got himself stuck, and in the casino no one reacted to me except the two guys on the top floor. The guards didn't react at all when I took the stacks of coins sitting in front of them. It all gave it a somewhat strange feeling. The guard falling down in the sewers is indeed a glitch, it happens sometimes, I just didn't have enough time to fix it.
However the fact the AIs stay neutral to your actions in the casino is completely intended. They are passive as you are in a hidden casino ran by thieves, so somehow you blend in. However, as soon as you take out your weapons and use them in front of them, they will go mental. If they were hostile as soon as you enter the area, it would become impossible to deal with.
It's not a glitch, I just didn't have enough time to link the AIs behaviors to every piece of loot through complex scripting sequences. :)

Nice small mission and nice textures. Played on expert and got most of the loot, but not all. The only thing I did not like was that I did not get to the "light shutdown" room until everyone was already bjacked! Pretty quick and fun. Sorry I played this one so late and past the contest. I did not vote since I had troubles with some of the others. This one was one of the top ones. Just like the others, it is hard for me to fathom that out can knock this quality out in 48 hours! I need to read the contest rules to see what that was all about. I don;t see any of these being done in a 48 hour period, unles you are personal friends with Walter White. I do see 48 hours of total work though... maybe over a 1 or 2 week period.
Overall great job to the FM maker! Thanks for the fun.

Thanks :)
I hesitated to make a second access to the machinery room via ventilation shafts, but I wanted the players to look at the scenery first so I scrapped it.

Nah, 48 hours in a row, that was the rule.
During these 2 days I had a sleepless night, I worked on dromed for 31 hours in a row...

That IS hard core! Amazing to me that that much can be done so quickly and that goes for all the missions in this contest. DrK, your style did shine through on this one. Dark, damp, and a little more than creepy. If these places were real, I would expect to get stabbed, or worse.

Well I'm late to the party as usual. Hopefully this thread bump will generate a few more plays from people who missed this too.
Exceptional mission built in so little time.
DrK on 15/10/2014 at 23:04
I wouldn't say it's exceptional, but thanks! :D
SlyFoxx on 16/10/2014 at 04:10
Yeah, I could have worded that better.
"Exceptional" modifying "so little time" more than the content of the map. But Gordon Bennett that was one tiny polished effort.
One of my favorite moments was......get this.....the way the dining room table in the casino was arranged. Each bit be it apple, coin or goblet was arranged in such a natural way. You've got a sixth sense about tiny details like that. Me? I plop and rotate and hope the player doesn't trip over the object collision box I've mistakenly enlarged. :o
I really need to finish the map I started for the first beauty contest but damn I think I've forgotten half the dromed I ever knew and Lord knows that wasn't much to begin with.
NoisemakerBurrick on 16/10/2014 at 11:30
Magical mission Doctor K! If this beauty was made in only 48 hours, one may only wonder what will Rocksbourg 0 be like.
