The cave full of fog right after the sewers (and probably other areas with problems) isn't done with just the usual fog; much of it consists of particles (just like water drops, smoke/gas, sparks/zaps, magic sparkles, etc. in the game) instead. Thief's particle system seems very CPU/GPU-intensive, even compared to other games. That demand gets even worse when large particles fill much of the screen, such as in that room.
For those of you with any DromEd experience, set the Renderer\Render Type property to Not Rendered on the SFX archetype and save the FM's gamesys. That should solve the problem, at the expense of not seeing any particle effects.

The game nearly freezes, then slows to 15+ or - frames a minute once you get to the
foggy area after chasing the dude through the sewer. Or 2 in my case - but I got through that bit. I'm going to try on a different machine today. Otherwise I'll have a go with kdau's suggestion. Thanks for that. I liked what I saw so much, I really want to persevere.
I must say though that nothing like this happened to me when I
dropped my car keys down a grate.

But did you go into the sewers looking for them?

Okay, wow, this one is definitely worth getting past the technical issue for. The author must have done a lot of preparation to introduce a whole new faction in such a short development cycle, and the NewDark material enhancements were used to great effect.
Plus the ending, especially with the priest character proceeding as drunkenly as anticipated, was great. Praise the Master Boulder! :cheeky:

I agree. This one is my favorite so far.

Same here, impressive to build this in such short time :thumb: Really fun. No broblem at all.

I'll confirm no problems with a laptop and Win7. I'll just have to fight my other half for access so I can finish it. I feel a bit vulnerable without my trusty blackjack though I have found the sword.
Tannar on 15/8/2013 at 16:26
The blackjack is just next door to where you found the sword. Look at the sleeping man.

Thanks. Guess I missed that as I try not to get too close to strange men. :)
