Go to the bottom entry in the Version tab under Item Name - Product Version. But if you did all that then it should be 1.21.
I, amongst others, did have crashes on my old pc but it was fine playing on a laptop with Win7.

This one is very original, i liked the new colored textures as well the reflecting textures, the architecture could be more volumetric , still its good...many thanks for this fine mission :thumb:

I started all over again and finally got through that entryway, only to crash a few minutes later. You may want to start all over. When the game starts, just run over the sewer grate, then back to the open door and follow the guy to the mist. If you get through the entryway, you might be OK.
I wonder if this is an AMD vs. Intel issue, or an NVidia thing. I'm running a 3400 Athlon 64 and an older Nvidia card with XP.
The little bit I was able to play was pretty cool, but sorry to say I cannot get further along. One of the things I like about this older game is older equipment plays it well. Not in this case. Then again, a quad core box in not old. Got to be some hardware thing then.

Bjack

You know Dromed, Ravenhook, have you tried this?

For those of you with any DromEd experience, set the
Renderer\Render Type property to
Not Rendered on the
SFX archetype and save the FM's gamesys. That should solve the problem, at the expense of not seeing any particle effects.

If you are eager to find out, then you could try downgrading your NVidia drivers to version 314.22.
The 'latest' NVidia drivers are not considered to be really stable. At least for some cards ... and many people kicked them due to frequent crashes and even roasted GPUs.
I for example have an 460GTX and had to downgrade as well.
Simply uninstall the drivers and install 314.22 instead and see if it helps.

Thanks for the tip. My drivers are from 2011, so I think they are older anyway. My "newer" 7000 series card blew up (audible POP was heard when it went out) about a year ago. I resorted to he on board old 6100 GPU. It plays 99.99% of FMs w/o problems. My bench mark is King's Story. If it can play that, it should be able to play most anything.
Sorry to hi-jack this thread with this topic. The author is not responsible for these issues, although a few of us will be unable to play the game. I guess I need to crack open the wallet and put in a new MB, mem, vid, power supply, and maybe a SSD. Best of luck to the contestant. :D

This FM was 'wild'. Can't believe it was made in just 48 hours. The most creative, imho, and detailed, with a good story. It was a lot of fun to play, but all the crashes finally got to me after I found the sword.
I am playing on Win 8, with the latest Nvidia drivers, so since I am not a techie, there's not much I can do about it.
Congratulations to all the authors who submitted their 48! You ALL did impressive work and it shows what good sports you are to tackle this challenge knowing there would be errors, glitches and unfinished work.

Update: I have been playing missions on a PC with a dual boot Xp and Win 7 scared to try it on win 7 but I finally bit the bullet and installed Thief1/2. Used the Tfix and tafferpatch and it was a very simple process. Now I can get rid of the dual boot or at least just play with win 7!!!!;)
