I can't remember where the text with the code is but iirc, the crowbar is outside behind some crates in a toolbox.

One thing I forgot to ask:
some people keep mentioning an ape aparition and some guy behind some shelf.
I never came across any of them. :(
There was some invisible AI on the large crates and I can hear footsteps when I leave to the outside area in the warehouse or return from there. But no one can be seen?
Tannar on 18/8/2013 at 22:46
For the ape apparition, I saw it when I was on top of the long lines of crates and headed toward the catwalk with the elevator. I looked back over my shoulder (so to speak) and the ape walked across the far end of the room toward the hallway you enter this area from.

I've been looking for the
crowbar, but haven't found it. Outside (where I start) there's only 1 large crate and no toolbox. Unless there's another outside area I haven't found? Inside the warehouse it's a dead end, I can't pick any doors so I'm stuck.

In the warehouse hall
is a large green gate... with a switch beside it.

I thought I had already activated New Mantle; perhaps when I upgraded from ND 1.9 to 2.1, the default config file setting reset it to being off. (Shouldn't New Mantle default to being on, not off?)
Once I fixed that -- and it took me a while, since I didn't remember how I'd done it the last time! -- I was able to finish the mission without taking any damage. Didn't find the loot loot, though; just the objective. Some thief I am!

Yesterday I used Tafferpatcher to do two new installations and the default for new mantle was on in both, for me.

That's exactly what happened to me. After upgrading from NEw Dark v1.19 to v1.21. New mantle went off... That's why I gave up on the mission... Thought about that late last night but haven't had time to change it yet.:ebil:

Ah, well, now that all has been revealed:

The door with the keypad - first time I was standing in front of the door when I punched in the code,
the door slammed against me, keypad broke and I couldn't open the door again - got completely stuck.
Hmm, I'll have to check that. The keypad is supposed to break, but after that point, the door should be fully frobbable for opening and closing. Somewhat related to that, I noticed after you open the safe, the office door "open and closes" if you walk around the room, even though there's already another door object laying flat on the floor. (sigh...)

- In the backyard area with cheap customers crates, I occasionally saw
lots of guards bodies on the ground reappear and disappear. Were they meant to be there in the first place?
I thought all the workers went home except the owner and his brotha.
- How was I meant to escape the room with the safe? It was lovely, because I had a good use for new mantling there, but was that intended?
The dead guard were supposed to flash once quickly, but the way it's setup, they'll keep flashing forever if you keep walking through there. Needs to be fixed. As far as the story goes - something must have happened to all those guards, maybe on their way out of the warehouse?
And I didn't realize that mantling out of the safe room
required new mantling to be enabled. My bad.

The walls outside the Warehouse with the big portcullis are Jorge for me. Other than that it was a fun, creepy mission. :D
Hmmm, not sure on the Jorge stuff. I'll have to go back and test with a vanilla T2 setup.

To the author : seriously, since NewDark, it's not forbidden to use 32bits lighting :)
I meant to include 32 bit lighting, but somehow I missed that on my build.

And mission was generally too short.
And what was the deal with the guy behind the bookcase? :weird:
First part - kind of an odd compliant for a 48 hour contest!
Second part - that AI controls a conversation, I was going to make him not render, but forgot. For some reason I have problems when I put conversation AI in blue rooms.

I was rather confused by the
room with the sewer key. Mantled my way in there, and found I was stuck. Then, out of strange blind luck, I found I could jump through the window and it'd dissapear, but only after unlocking the chest... What? :pErr, not sure what happened here. The window is supposed to be unbreakable (and thus unpassable) until you open the chest. The chest contains a sword. It also switches the unbreakable window with a breakable one, so you can get out, by breaking the window with the sword.

Guess what, reached the sewers without aquiring the special object inside the whearhouse, and now i can´t find a way back to the wharehouse.
Never occurred to me that someone would head down to the sewers without doing the rest of the objectives first. I'll have to figure out a solution for that.

Is the lock
on the floor in the upper room open-able?
No, it's just for show, it's the lock to the box that "the item" was previously in.

As I mentioned before, new mantle should not be required to be enabled, I'll need to adjust that. There's also no real loot in the mission, I think The Cash Box was a Nav Globe which probably explains the "total loot" listed in the stats.
Thanks to everyone for playing (and extra special thanks to the handful of you who threw a sympathy vote my way). I know the mission is a complete mess in some areas, but I'm just thankful I got it working at all - my convos all stopped working with only about an hour and a half left before the deadline! I absolutely plan on releasing a gold version, which should expand and change the mission around significantly so it won't be boring and predictable if you've played through it before. Really enjoyed putting this together, and I'd really like to see another contest like this in the future.
