Congratulation on the release.
The playing was very tense after leaving the ship. The story and the music turned me into the expectations I have had only when playing AvP2. Such a intensive horror survival feeling with high blood pressure etc.... :) So I was expecting some brutal survival action at the end like in AvP - you know: alien's jump - sidestep - turn around - headshot... only one mistake and you are dead...
I was very happy in fact that the ending is so easy with these green harmless monkies...
I'm looking forward to new part ! It could be completely new branch of Thief missions with full story. Travelling from planet to planet, exploring new sites with ancient civilizations, searching for the truth about ancient heart....

Just played this FM! I thought it might be a nice companion piece to last night's Doctor Who episode! ;)
Wasn't too sure about the stuff on the ship, but then once you step down onto the surface of Mars... Ah...!
Finding those small ruins was magical enough, but then the huge building...it was amazing to be there. And then, naturally, the long dark cavern down to who knows what!
No, it was really thrilling. Like many others I wish it was longer, I wish it had been even MORE extensive as you buried yourself deeper and deeper within the catacombs of this alien civilisation lost and buried deep within the core of the planet.
Loved all the Alien and Stargate influences.
Really enjoyed it. Well done and thank you!

Sci-Fi in Thief is really not my thing normally - but I very much enjoyed this!
The feeling of loneliness, strange buildings & great ambients (Alien will always be one of my favourite movies) gave it a tense, ,...um...otherworldly :cheeky:...atmosphere. Classy voice-acting, readables & custom AI too.
Ended abruptly & didn't get to use any weapons - was looking forward to taking on the nasties in the ship's corridors - but very good while it lasted.
Looking forward to a sequel :thumb:

doug You need to find a place where there's a ladder down to the lower level. It through a door right beside the one that leads to the Control Center.

But, as has been said - toooooo short!
(and I need a LOT more practice with the crossbow, very different aim mechanics!)
The nasties were sure ugly, but they need tweaking, a bit sharper sense and faster! Was way too easy to take em out!
Oh, and I took a close up look at Anna through scouting orb - oy! she is, um,well, to put it in recent diplo terms "thick"! Looks like a Russian female powerlifter!

http://i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu188/Cpt_Dunsel/Annaupper.jpg(So that friend who wrote the comment about her being "easy on the eyes", lucky for him she did'nt seem upset when she read that! Then again, maybe she's planning on just giving that 'friend' a 'friendly' HARD Russian bearhug!) :laff:
Scariest moment:
Approaching the ramp down to Thaddeus and all of a sudden that incredible music ramps up the suspense and I'm going "Oh sh*t, I don't think I really want to go down there!" :nono: ;) :thumb:
PLEASE DO A SEQUEL!You can have Anna go back up into ship and get new orders: return to the ruins, some survivors have just been in contact and she needs to get them out!
(a la her dialog about her being the only hope for any survivors! The nasties on the surface means there is access to the lower ruins somewhere!)
 Maybe she can even get a combat bot and maybe even a spider bot to assist!?
The most awesomest thing would be if you could make a full campaign! I think Anna could give Zaya a run for her money!

:p At least the model is better than trying to reskin the Garrett one!;) Tkbonko was working on a replacement but got sidetracked by RL stuff and Gort was generous enough to step in to make a replacement model for the scouting orb. What you see in the orb is actually and object and I've been told those have to be lower in detail than an ai mesh for some reason. As for a sequel, I'm not working on anything for the moment, I gave some work I had done to another author because I didn't have a proper story developed yet and it's easier for me just to start from scratch when I have a solid story in mind (anything else turns to hours of wasted time). RL stuff is occupying my time right now so it will be after the holidays before I consider developing another mission.

:thumb:I liked this small mission, with considerable eye-candy as well as Sci-Fi movie references and an interesting story which IMHO fits well into a post-Garrett Thief universe, several centuries after Garrett's time. Any sequel would be appreciated - but take your time. A well-done sequel will outlast any cheap follow-up, I believe.
But next time, I want alien face huggers in those eggs...:cheeky:

Actually the mission takes place only 10 years after Soulforge went kaput,
The Mechanists have made their secret jump into advanced technology by back-engineering technology from a crash site in the Southern Islands, something Garrett will spot if I ever do a sequel to Cold Feet;)

Greate mission!
Most of all i liked exploring the vessel and listening on the "beep...beep" sounds(remind me good old Unreal game), the red moons and the giant "Star Gate" (near it I was standing like 10 min :D)
Thank you!
Hopefully waiting for a sequel :)
