My how the time flies...okay folks in the years since 09, I've struggled with a number of things and the planned sequel never quite came together between dromed crashes and RL activities. However I'm pleased to announce that since NewDark came on the scene, I decided to drag myself back to the editor for another try-the result is a new version of 4th planet here: (
http://thiefmissions.com/m/4thPlanet)
It's basically the same mission as the original-but with MUCH better design and visuals, however it comes in at a hefty 191 megs and thats where part of my current problem lies, since I moved back in 2010, I've been stuck on a dialup connection and have to upload from places like the comptuers at a local college library etc and due to some of those having technical difficulties which prevent consistent use my opportunities for high speed internet access are currently throttled for now until I can find a better solution-so I wasn't able to do a proper beta test on this one. Just a warning, it works for me on FMsel but please forgive me if it lacks some polish in some areas.:erg:
Anyways, have fun!

Kinda quiet in here...
How is it working? Everything ok?

So you aren't able to complete the mission?:o

That's strange, I made the mission on a 1.19 installation and now we're on 1.21, perhaps that might be the problem? At least it's completable-the way things are right now with my internet availability, if I do another mission-it will have to be an OM type situation where I can keep the thing under 20 megs. Which is hard when you're terminally addicted to customization like I am!:p

The old version I have is named 4thplanetv5, while this one is named 4th Planet V2. Five years from now, when I delete redundant and older missions from the hard drive, the wrong one may be trashed.

I was confused about that as well when the new file was sent to me, but I just assumed the previous version was v1.5 or something instead of v5. Who knows?

I didn't check out the former name before uploading the current version, it's the 2nd version so I said 'v2'. If you want, change the name to 'v6' if you need to. Sorry for any confusion:p
