It has to suck to wake up one day, look at all that and say "This bores me."

Haha, yeah. Even if you wanted to be interested, though, there's hardly enough time for people to play games coming out today as it is (even the free & dirt cheap ones), and we all have massive backlogs already. The vast bulk of this would be playable on an emulator anyway... So it's just for the feelie factor; you can touch it all & rub your face in it or whatever. But if somebody gets their high off that & has the money to blow, more power to them.
I do think it's cool to stay in touch with the history of gaming, though. When I have kids, sometime I'd want to try to get them to appreciate how games developed over time, and play through the history of gaming with them on some emulators. Then they could see why certain games & systems were really epic for their time, once you realize the state of all the other games of the time. Kids today I don't think appreciate that. And I hope my Atari 2600 & C64 still work so they can see the absurd lengths we used to go to just to play (very humble) games too.

I'd be more impressed if 95% of it weren't completely useless collectible crap that he's probably never touched. Ratpacks like that piss me off because it makes it harder for people like me trying to track shit down to actually play it.

And someone's already bidded on it. God damn.

Wow, that is nuts. Imagine the shipping. And how long would it take test it all and makes sure it works. Good lord.
Anyway, you gotta love this comment from the QT3 forums...

Looks about a $37 trade in value at GameStop.

I doubt that the person selling it or the person buying it really gives a shit if any of it works, tbh.

It has a FREIGHT charge. Not shipping. FREIGHT. Like a train and shit.
And yeah, that GameStop comment was gold!
