At the very beginning of Act 2, go to the main gates which would lead away from the mansion estate, and through the bars you can frob a button there which triggers new objectives! Odd - I suppose a conversation somewhere else triggers that button, after reading a certian book I think (IIRC), but there's the button right at the start!

I suppose this is a flaw, that or a very well-hid easter egg. ;)

The one about the passage behind the mages tomb and grabbing everything of value that you can, and the one about taking Brady's Rosary with you to ward off the spiders.
