Thanks! I hope it's still there.
I have to go to my rental storage space. I'll let you know when I get over there,

Just loaded Google Drive. Can you access the BOCG patch?

Hey guys. I figured that, since this is the biggest remaining LGS fan community, I should post this here. Recently, I've become interested in BOCG, and I was wondering whether or not it has a manual. The versions being sold on Amazon are CD-only and Google has brought up no evidence that a manual ever existed. Does anyone know? The main reason I need it is for research material, but LGS had a history of making games that were impenetrable without their associated manuals. I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me. Thanks.

You commented that modern games have taken all that on board and now eclipse BOCG in every respect. Unfortunately this is not correct. 16 years later BOCG retains it's status as the best golf game available on any format. I am fortunate to own two boxed sets of the (2) CD game. I could be wrong, but I believe it is impossible to find this box set. I am running BOCG on Vista right now, but I am having difficulty intalling the patch. Instructions say to look for bocg_upd.exe file in directory and expand. I do not see this file on my harddrive.

gunsmoke is on the money about the production values of this game. If memory serves, it was the first PC golf game to seriously attempt to recreate a professional golf tournament complete with the crowds, the variable weather, the dynamic voiced commentary (I'm pretty certain that was a first), and the atmosphere in general. You have a caddy to manage your clubs, and you can even ask them for advice! (well, more information about the hole you're playing, at least). There are video introductions not only to each course, but to each hole.
Two courses may not sound like a lot, but it's definitely quality over quantity, and a pretty complete package.
I would suspect (or hope) that the modern games have taken all that on board and now eclipse BOCG in every respect, but (as was their nature) LGT really did a damned fine job of this game, and it remains a fun game to play.

Ehem... I believe you may be forgetting about a little something called Super Stickman Golf 2.

I haven't played BOCG, but I can't imagine it's better than Sierra's PGA Championship Golf 2000.

I have played and owned PGA Championship Golf. And LINKS and practically every GOLF game released on video or computer format. LINKS was great for it's graphics realism. There have been a few very good TW computer golf games as well. The oldest in my library being the year 2000. I actually like some aspects of John Daly's computer GOLF game. I currently play the PS2 version of Tiger Woods '13. I have probably played Accolade's "Mean 18" and I have enjoyed Mario GOLF and "Hot Shots" as well.
British Open Championship Gold is hands down the greatest GOLF game produced on any format. IMO

Thank you for bringing to my attention. I just watched video introduction. Much acclaimed! I am shopping for a Galaxy 10.1 pad and this would be the game!
On a serious note, when I am able to install patch for BOCG, I will be in simulated GOLF game heaven.
