Fortunately (if that can be applied to getting this error), I found this thread, (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=123754) Connection between multibrushes and "draw_surface: too many vertices." error?, and since I had just added a series of cloned multibrushes, I can now support R Soul's surmise that multibrushes are somehow behind this error. The interesting thing is that the error did not show up after portalizing. I have to run complete processing to get it to happen. I assume the issues arise during optimization, but I didn't bother to isolate down to that. So, back to doing that repeated pattern of air brushes individually. :erg:

probably undoubtedly because I'm using way too many slightly rotated dodecahedrons in unexpected places. This is a new one for me, though. The only solution is to go back and rotate the latest brush another way until the error goes away.
Normal procedure:
1. Add one brush.
3. Get an error message.
4. Restart DromEd.
5. Move or rotate the brush just slightly.
6. Get the error again.
7. Restart DromEd.
8. Move or rotate the brush some other way.
9. Repeat from step #1 until you're either done or hospitalized.

... I can't move, delete, rotate nor resize without this error occurring.
Time to go back to a save without it? Or time to give in and keep it? Or ... ?

I think there must be some combination of brushes that DromEd doesn't like, so I could perhaps try adjusting nearby brushes too, but for now, I am going to keep the brush, and then maybe I'll get back to it later...

This might be a long shot, but since you are getting a csg error, this paragraph from the LGS optimization guide might offer some clues:
Quote:
Remember the following crucial rule for optimize: when you optimize, it creates "optimization hints", and turns on the "use optimization hints" flag, which is optimize_bsp. If you want to build a non-optimized level, you must turn off optimize_bsp. If you load a new level, you still have to turn it off by hand (this is a bug); otherwise you get the optimization hints for the other level, which will be very wrong...Also, not that optimizing runs a separate program csgmerge.exe which is included in the release...
Maybe somehow your hints become wrong?

Thanks, that's good to know.
My problem got solved another way, though: I had some (not really needed) dodecahedrons nearby and when I deleted them, the problem went away and I could delete the other brush (cube).

If you'll post which dromed these errors came from (T1, T2, SS2), I'll look through the code and see what they mean if possible.
The code?
