I’ve got a wired 360 controller, and it works great with Thief 2 since Thief 2 is joystick compatible so I can map all the buttons to the controller (I just use ControlMK so I can use both sticks, and use the triggers as buttons instead of axises), but with Thief gold it’s not joystick compatible that wouldn’t be a problem but ControlMK doesn’t give me the option of using any of the Directional pad buttons so I’m short on buttons.
Do any of you know of a game-pad program that lets you map to the D-pad of a 360 controller?
thanks :)

Control MK lets you map every button on the 360 pad. I play Thief and have the 'lean' functions set to left and right on the direction pad.
Are you using the XBCD drivers? The utility that comes with them allows you to see which button corresponds to which number - useful for mapping them in ControlMK.

Hm, I don’t have the option for the D-pad with control mk. I can map to every other button and axis though.
Are you using a newer version than me? (Version 0.232)
Yeah I’ve got that program never got it recognize my controller though I just drew a picture of the 360 controller and put numbers next to the buttons.

Not just the program, but the XBCD drivers themself. They supercede the Microsoft ones. I'm no tech support expert, but maybe you should try installing the actual XBCD drivers, they might be what's allowing me to use those buttons.
And I'm using 0.232 as well.

I never got prompted to install any drivers I’ll have to reinstall XBCD, or check out their help page.
Thanks for your help.
