You might have heard of a program called (http://hypermammut.sourceforge.net/paulstretch/) Paul's Extreme Sound Stretch which can take even the most mundane sound and turn it into something awesome. I just noticed Audacity can do a similar thing, albeit with fewer variables (just two). Simply go to Effect > Paulstretch.

You could even record yourself saying something. The stretching tool distorts things so much you wouldn't recognize it.

Once you have an atmospheric sound, you can use (http://www.wearytaffer.com/tutorials/tut_loops.html) this tutorial by Yandros to make it loop seamlessly in Audacity.

If you hadn't tagged the first one, it would have been dangerously close to rickrolling. Even at 1/800th speed... :p ;)

This is a cool idea, though. A mage environment could especially benefit from this sort of sound, or a non-hostile Pagan area.

you can also slow it down without keylock and you'll end up with nice dark bassline ambient :P I don't know how to do it in Audacity though
