* Farcus (assassins)
* Brother Muru (haunted cathedral)
* opera house ex-owner (song of the caverns)
* Artemus? (cutscene, etc.)
Thief 2:

Hmm, i wouldn't exactly call all them friends, more 'allys'
Some Friend, turning Garrett in to the city watch.

I'd say Basso is his only friend, Giri is reffered to merely as a contact. The others Garret meets only once, except for Victoria.
I'd say Garret and Artemus are not friends, but Garret holds a huge respect for Artemus which I do not think he would ever admit to. Artemus is the only one Garret listens to from the Keepers, and Artemus knows Garret very well, knowing in the Metal age to help Garret out in order for Garret to help the Keepers.
I would say Artemus is Garret's mentor, but they are not friends, I can't see them having much to talk about over a pint. The rest are just tools for Garret, helping him ply his trade.

I disagree, I think Garrett viewed Artemus as kind of a 2nd father, hell, he practically raised Garrett. However, Garrett's personality kept him from expressing it outwardly, hes not exactly famous for showing how he feels about anyone except himself, and maybe Viktoria.
Hell hath no fury like a Garrett scorned. Boy did Karras learn that the hard way... :nono:

Artemus probably is the closest thing Garret has to a friend, Viktoria and Basso coming in 2nd/3rd, respectively. Everyone else is either an accomplice or just a "business" partner. It's probably a matter of opinion since Garret's so standoffish and defensive on whether or not anyone listed are considered "friends," but I would say Artemus was more than a mentor.

Yes I guess that is what i ws trying to say, Artemus was a mentor and Garret may have seen him as a father. But a father and son friendship is not a friendship in the conventinial sense.
Its like after 10 years of training together is a lot like bringing someone up, you may be not like your father, but love is just something you can't shake off because your family, although I wouldn't say Garret loved artemus I think it is more that relationship than friendly. After Garret then left the Keepers Artemus was the Keeper's link to him. Over time, I think they drifted apart, but still respect one another enough to on Garret's part listen, and on Artemus' side give Garret the space he needed while knowing this space would eventually mean he would help them.
As for Victoria, I was never sure about them I think Garret's feelings for her may have just been a spell. His voice goes all distant, and he sounds unsure and bewildered during their blood pact, Which I am convinced is Victoria enchanting him. Who knows how long that enchantment could last.
