Reminds me of the old Nali Castle flyby from Unreal - very impressive!
Games have a long way, haven't they. That Nali castle was jaw-dropping when it came out.

That's really, really stunning Digi. Marvellous attention to detail. I'm a sucker for those flying buttresses, 'cause they make for some sweet symmetrical eyecandy.
But what I especially love i the lighting. Global illumination, hm? Sweet! How well's it running? I imagine that plus all that geometry takes its toll. But it's going to make one hell of a portfolio piece! :thumb:

It's running at a constant 60 frames per second. :thumb:

Well, that's bloody brilliant, that is. Awesome! :D

I guess Fraps has caused some slight strain, cos it's pretty jerky on the eyes at first in that video.
The cathedral is massively impressive! Any plans to take it further - fill it with objects, statues, get it into a playable game?

Just beautiful, Digi! :thumb:

That's actually not fraps causing the jerkiness. That's the video compression removing frames. Seems MPEG-2 (which is the recommended format for uploading to youtube) doesn't like compressing at 60 a second.

Impressive work. Now the texturing, which will probably take a few times longer than building...
