I am going through the game again, trying to kill fewer guys in the beginning (once I get the silenced sniper rifle, all bets are off), and I was curious. Gunther asks for your pistol, but I never gave it to him, especially this time, since I'm keeping the stick pistol and upgrading it, instead of taking the janky little stealth pistol. First, do you get the pistol back, and second, what happens if you give it to him? Just curious if it radically changes the game or not.

If you give him your pistol, you won't get it back. (That's why I usually give him
a pistol, rather than mine, which tends to be already modded at this point. Lots of friendly people around who'll lend you theirs. <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Ebil]" /> ) ) Nothing radical changes in the game, but Gunther will like you a little better - for about five minutes.

Usually you get another pistol just before or after rescuing Gunther. I normally don't modify it because the modification tool you get is not that great. So I give him every time and pick up another one.

OH well, I'm a little past that, so I won't worry. I already dropped a magazine mod in it, so I don't want to give it up yet. I have decided to go with the standard issue 10mm, rather than the silenced pistol. At some point, I can add a silencer and more clip mods, and it does more damage to begin with.

You can't put a silencer mod on a standard 10mm pistol. If you could, there'd be no point in having a stealth pistol at all.

I just realized that. Oh well, since I am using cheats this time anyway, I decided that I'm not going to worry about it, since I can pick up whatever weapon and mods I want whenever I want.
Speaking of which, why don't the aug cheats work? I tried to summon particular ones, but it wont. the all augs command works, but it gives me stupid stuff like aqualung, that I don't want. Any info on that? BTW, I did finish the game with no cheats, so this is just a sort of fun run.
