DEUS EX - HELL'S KITCHEN
Agent Hellzon stood on the balcony outside his brother's apartment. He watched the cop in the alley below, whipped out his crossbow, took a careful aim, and put a dart trough the policeman's head. "One down.", he thought to himself. Then he saw another cop standing in the street. He lifted his sniper rifle, aimed for the cop's head, and squeezed the trigger. He fell without a sound. But another cop had seen the murder, and Hellzon had to retreat to the roof. At the roof, he was king. None was safe for his precise aiming with the rifle. Then he saw a bum running in the street. Suddenly, a salvo of bullets hit the bum, and he dropped dead. Hellzon crept towards that that side of the roof, and saw the most horrible abomination ever. It was a bot. An ED-209. He loaded his assault rifle with rockets, took a careful aim, and fired! Parts of the bot flew all over the street.
But there was more. The agent sniped a few more cops, and headed back for the balcony. Suddenly, two cops started firing at him. Tired of quick killing, agent Hellzon quickly loaded his crossbow with tranquilizers, fired at the two cops, and saw them fall asleep. He stood up, turned around, and jumped in through his brother's bedroom window. "Paul will not care.", he figured. That was true, for he was in Hong Kong, and would never come back here...
Hellzon went through the abandoned halls of the 'Ton Hotel. A woman told him that the owners had left town, but he did not care much. He was not here for the Rentons. He was here to meet Stanton Dowd, a former member of the Illuminati. As he headed for the front entrance, he believed that it would be safe. He was so wrong. At the very instant he walked out on the street, he saw four military cops running towards him. He backed into the entance, assault rifle in hand, ready to fight. The soldiers lined up outside and opened fire. He killed three of them easily, but then the clip was empty. He whipped out his pistol, pointed it at the remaining soldier, and fired. Being heavily wounded, the soldier ran away. "I'll take him later.", the agent thought to himself. He walked out, found the wounded soldier's rifle, and smiled evilly. Then he saw that what he thought had been the bum was actually a cop. He had no idea why anyone here but him would shoot at a cop, but he assumed that person was gone or dead now. He strolled on.
He walked into an alley, and saw the bum. So the guy was alive after all. Who cared anyway? He peered around the corner, saw the wounded soldier run for his life, and kept walking. The soldier came back, running directly towards him, disoriented as he was. Agent Hellzon reached for his baton, hit the soldier hard on the back, and watched him pass out. Then he headed on for the Underworld Tavern, where Harley Filben would help him find Stanton Dowd...
Hellzon went through the Tavern, looking for Filben. He asked the bartender if she had seen Dowd, and she told him to keep her out of it. Gunther Hermann was still looking for him, appaerently. A nice little chat with a Marine revealed that FEMA had taken over the dock where the superfreighter was, and that his friends might be willing to help him. "Help is never bad.", he considered, while looking for Filben.
Finally he found Filben. He would arrange a meeting with Dowd in the ruins of an old warehouse. But there was more. The Illuminati wanted to get rid of Joe Greene, a spy for UNATCO. Hellzon agreed, and headed for the warehouse...
The chat with Dowd was most interesting. It seemed that he had caught the plague himself. Dowd told him where the ship would be, and even gave him blueprints to it. As they finished speaking, a thug ran up to them, and started shooting at Stanton Dowd. Agent Hellzon drew his Dragon's tooth sword and sliced the thug in half. Dowd looked fine, so the agent went on to the free clinic, and Greene...
Suddenly, his infolink turned on. Majestic 12 troops were on their way. "Still plenty of time.", he thought. But he was wrong.
The next second, several troops came storming around the corner. Hellzon ran up to the balcony outside Paul's apartment. The troops waited below, unable to get up since the ladder was too high. The agent searched in his pockets, found a LAM, armed it, and tossed it down at the troops. The guts flew through the air. Miraculously, two of the soldiers survived. They were easy prey for his pistol.
Joe Greene was easy prey as well. Hellzon walked out through the commotion, heading for an arms dealer named Smuggler. Getting to his place was easy - if you knew the password. Or the back door. The agent chose the latter, ending up at Smuggler's excuse for a security system. Leaving a multitool right by a security panel is never good. His stupid bot never showed up. Smuggler's prices were too steep, but his secret stash had some good stuff. Good thing he didn't guard it too carefully. Now all that was left was to tell Filben about the assassination, and leave...
It seemed Filben didn't care much. Appaerently, more troops were incoming. Hellzon knew he could handle them, but he headed for the roof of the 'Ton, where Jock would pick him up and bring him to the harbor, where he would sink a superfreighter with LAM:s. That would be a challenge...
(Yep. It ends here. No sequels.
