Thank you Ronnie and Smithpd. :) Believe it or not I even forget where all of the loot is located. :o

Terribly sorry for the necromancy, but I've got an odd bug here.
All the NPC's outside are asleep. City watch, guards, townspeople, whoever happens to be outside and is supposed to be patrolling is taking a snow-nap. Granted, this makes thieving so much easier, but it is kind of odd.
I have a screenie, but ImageShack hates me with a passion and refuses to host my files. If you want to see it for the laughs, I'll email it to you and you can post it if you want.

hi Peanuckle
That isn't a bug. Depending on what difficulty you are playing, the AI's will start out sleeping. It was meant to be consistent with anyone who KO all of them in Love Story I. :)

So the ENTIRE TOWN, even civilians, are supposed to be on the cold snow sleeping? That's really odd.

When playing fan missions, some people like to KO everyone on the map. The player starts Love Story II at the same place Love Story I ended, so to consistent, the AI can be either awake, or KO depending on how each player ended LS1. Lcve Story II occurs during the same night as Love Story I, and the player immediately runs back out to complete the new mission.
It may seem odd, but it would be unrealistic for all of the AI to suddenly awaken five minutes after they were KO. ;)

Thank you. I thought I was witnessing some incredibly odd bug.

Got to part 2. This was good. I found all 7 secrets thanks to the little hints. I was finding areas that had loots and such that I could get to and weren't secrets. For some reason I'm still 750 loot short. And I thought I went through everything. In fact I climbed on top of areas I wasn't supposed to. I made it behind the bank and trapped myself so I had to reload. That weird bridge near the park that was rickety and did nothing, I got on top of that area and nothing there. The tunnel across from the tavern I got on top of that. Was looking for a way up to the tippy top tower. Anyway, usually I overlook a coin or two, or rings since they are so small. I couldn't even tell you where I've been, but it was alot of places.
I did have a couple of bugs which helped me. One was in the jail. The helmeted guard was trapped inside one of the cells. :)
Also, I think there was a 2nd helmeted guard patrolling the streets. If he is the one, I found him drowned in the river.
One question I do have. The first two buildings you encounter from leaving John's house. One looks like a mayan temple, the other is next to it. I found no way inside either, nor any loot there. What was the purpose?

Originally I had planned to allow the player into the mayan looking building. It was supposed to be an abandoned hospital, which kinda spurred the idea for Living Nightmare, but due to technical reasons it was scrapped. The other building simply covers part of the wall. Even the people who work there can't get in. :joke:

I'm playing the whole series for the first time! Really enjoyable city mission with lots of twisted alleyways and hidey-holes and good climbing fun! :thumb:
Questions about 3 secrets ... or not
I managed to get onto the chandelier in the hotel
with the help of a slow-fall potion that was hidden there. I got the notification that I'd found one of the secrets when I frobbed the little switch! But what exactly did I find? I've been all over this hotel looking for a door that might have opened up or a banner somewhere. What does that little switch do?
I also found a few banners that can't be slashed
(like in the 3-story bar with the neat little windows in the floor). Are they secret banners with switches or buttons that will open them somewhere?
And where is this secret underground
air mage area? Is it the one that's not-so-secret that you reach by climbing down the ladder?
The switch opens a secret place on the countertop. Actually the Victrola slides over to reveal some loot.

None of them are secrets.

The secret mage area is near the pub on the east side of the police station. The sign in front is one of Sluggs' wizard signs.
