Its ages since I played this but I expect I meant the City Watch building where there's some poor female type locked up and the guard and A.N. Other are making faces through the bars at her. I knocked them out and let her out and she came after me!! So, I'm afraid she got one too.
Thanks I got mixed up. I meant the jail too. :laff:
It was this though. It looked like I missed an objective.

Now off to find the secrets:cheeky:
Btw: The
sold-out notes and the new objective triggered in the jail basement were a nice little extra:thumb:

I remember seeing that now but I got diverted so never went to have a look. That's me on the 'missed it' list too.

There's lots of things that occur depending on what the player does, so not everyone will see the same events unless they play exactly the same way. :)

Thanks for that.
I will have to play it through again when I can. See If can can get anything different.
They were great missions. :thumb:
If I can get the pc to work correctly

Do you mean do things in a different sequence or what? I know what I would have seen if I'd done what Gloria Creep did. Is that the kind of thing you mean?
john9818a on 15/8/2007 at 19:03
Not necessarily the sequence, but just trivial events. For example, if the player takes all of the food from the grocery store, a sign will appear outside stating that all was sold, and none of the patrolling AI will enter the store again. They will also not enter the store again (unless already on their way) if the store clerk is KO or frightened. The same is for all of the other shops. I guess it wasn't that many different events, but it took a long time to set them up. :)

Thanks John. And if I ever get to the end of this 12 hour work day I'm on at the moment I'll get back to this and be either more devious or more adventurous. Darnit, wish I could have a go now.

This has spoiled what was a really enjoyable level. I am unable to get thru the window to John. It's solid as a rock. What gives? All the other objectives are checked off.

I should have made this a little easier, but once you are on the lower ledge, climb up into the window. You may have to move back a little without falling off to be able to climb in. I found it easiest to walk to the tower, get on the lower ledge, and move along the ledge until you line up with the window.

I've been actually pm'ing John on this mission back and forth. I'm exactly 250 loot short. Am I the only person who's noticed that the flower shop in the back bedroom has a 2nd floor you can't get up to. Maybe I'll see if there is a button. I could not find a rope arrow anywhere. Near the outside of the shop going back to the smoothie, there also seems to be a nice wooden wall that would be reachable up top if I had a rope arrow. MUCH of the loot is hidden in very hard to find areas.
for some loot hints: look in the water under the plank ramps and such. There are some masks, and a bottle. Don't forget to steal all the merchant's loot below counters and in their rooms. Most have a pouch hidden by their beds or closets. The bank I almost missed the tapestry and the masks covering the lights. The light in the museum counts as a seperate loot, so if you scroll through your inventory, you'll actually have 2 loots. The ring on the staircase in the mansion is a tough one to spot too. The vase in the mansion is not frobbable, so I'm assuming this isn't loot.
for easy access into the jail: in the beginning near where you start, there is the guard house. there are barrels there. either push one of the barrels near the open area above the tunnel, or climb on the ledge on the side of the guard house and jump. This will bring you behind the archer and into the jail. much easier than dealing with the watcher.
This has been a great mission, and I'm on the quest to actually find that last 250 loot. I've been everywhere 5 times over and can't seem to get it. Though I'm going to try and trigger the angry guards and see what happens too. :)
