Eeh, I have no candles, so I just stole a bunch of sweet, sweet lucre to commemorate the event.
::goes off and grabs that weird German booze from the fridge::
... No calls.

5 to 10 years?
...
How do you make a copy of a disk?
And so what if sNeaksie thought Fett was serious? It would be a perfectly reasonable reaction.

There are many ways, some more legitimate than others.
For quite some time, I used Alcohol 120% to make iso's of my CDs, and make a backup copy(s) of them. Alcohol is pretty good, and fairly simple. Of course, you could use those iso's with Daemon Tools if you'd rather play off the hard drive. Just so long as ya don't start selling burns, no one will care... Or at least, they shouldn't.

I started a collection at work and everything!
You...you BASTARD!!!
Guess I'll have to use the collected money to buy my own T2 disk.

I am sitting here watching candle flames & drinking my strange German RumpleMinze. As my friends do once a year to remember our dearly departed, I have poured a libation into the flames. (Damn...the candle went out. This works much better with a campfire! Good thing I lit a bunch of candles! ) As I sit here quietly and think about the departed disk, I try to remember it as it once was - a vibrant, spinning disk that brought so much fun & entertainment to fett, not as the shattered bit of plastic with no life remaining that is has become.
Fett, you are in my thoughts as I mourn for your departed friend. But, you will find the strength to go on, I know. Chin up & stay tough! Remember, your Thiefy forum-mates are here to help you through this difficult time!

I've been following this saga, my condolences to fett (i.e. screw you bastard).
Do we know why the CD cracked? Was it depressed in anyway? I heard that it was planning a little trip to a little place we like to call "Planned Parenthood"--what exactly were you doing to it, fett? Huh? CD's don't just crack on there own, you know that, and usually not without leaving behind a note.
CONFESS YE SINNER! We know what you did! We have people that handle these sort of things, you know. *calling Quincy* It was mmmurdher, Sam!

As far as i know it is fully legal to produce a security-copy of any legally purchased software as long as you don't distribute it. That is because you actually don't just buy the disk, but also a license to own and run the software.
But I'm no lawyer, so please don't quote me in court :p

I guess you should put the remains of that mighty Thief II disc in your hands into your grave when the time comes...
Sorry for you loss lol...
