The chest is up there, above the glass ceiling... you can see it. All you have to do is hit the glass with sword or BJ and the chest falls down. You must have somehow managed to break the glass without realizing it.

The chest contains a number of other nifty new arrows also. Try using the "next weapon" command (I can't remember what the default button is:confused: ) to page through your weapons and you can see some of the other fun projectiles that come with dromed deluxe. Ice arrrows and necromatic arrows are my favs! :sly:
Bwah!! I totally missed that hidden chest.
The thing is, I broke the glass in one of the rooms, but didn't bother in the other... heh.
I'm starting to suspect Rob Hicks made this level, just to show off DeDx.

Has anyone been able to finish the mission after grabbing the skull? I can't find a way out of the arena once I jump in to get it. I figure there must be a switch or something in there that opens a door or something, but the floor is so littered with bodies, searching for a switch is nearly impossible (especially with the big bad guys in there). I also do not have any rope arrows (are there any to be found?).
Excellent mission, btw. I've played half in the contest now, and this one is the best so far, hands down!

You can mantle out if you get a good running leap out of the pit.
bassmanret on 20/2/2003 at 20:20
Thanks, OHHDEAR! I guess it just seemed too high to mantle out of, so I never even tried.

You really have to get a nice running start to get out, which makes it rather difficult when you are surrounded by big nasties. The easiest way to complete the skull objective (or the bottle/mirror objectives on the other difficulty levels) is to jump down, turn invisible (use an apple of unseeing), grab the object, then run for the nearest wall. The first two challenges aren't that difficult, but the skull one killed me everytime before I figured out this strategy. Even if I caught the wall on my first jump, I would always get blasted by a ranged attack before I made it all the way over the edge. If you are invisible they focus on each other. Once you're out of the way, the baddies mostly take care of themselves.
I almost feel sorry for the werewolf. He never lasts very long in the pit with those other bosses! And his whining is so sad :( . . .
The new arrows are pretty cool. I likey the Combustion Arrow.
As for the bosses,
I pity the big axe-wielding dude. He looks so cool, but the Trickster has about 50 times his HP. Guess I'll just have to beat the axe dude up in Night's Recourse, but... it'd be nice to beat him up here. Kudos to the author for bring the Trickster to T2 and I really hope he expands this mission with more switches and the like after the contest.
Actually, kudos to Rob Hicks & Co. for bringing the Trickster to T2, not the author... unless of course Rob is the author of this FM. Then it's fine to thank the author. ;)

Now, we can finally get an answer. How many Hammerites does it take to take down the Trickster?
