I'd be impressed if there's a cell phone powerful enough to run a half-decent version of Thief.

It would make a great 2D game. I'd also love some of the Thief sounds on my mobile. A Horn of Quintus or Burrick ring tone, anyone? "Join us! Join us now!" would work well.

I don't think Thief would translate into a 2D game very well. It could work if the people doing it were good, but I just think it works better in 3D.

Erm, lol?
Mh, worth a try, I guess. Can't imagine they build up any atmosphere but the ringtones would be cool.
I can see me sitting in the bus, trying to play thief on my handy, not seeing a thing, crawling beneath the big long leather coat to achieve complete darkness an then missing my bus stop.
Sounds like fun, doesn't it? :D

I have low expectations for this. NGage is a prime example or failure in this venue. If I'm the only one to think this then so be it.

Actually, some cell phones can download MP3 files to use as ring tones; I heard some awful pop music the other day on some mall-rat's cell.

I want the moaning zombie ring tone
