Here's the original thread with links to the individual mission threads too!

I had to DL and play this one myself after reading this thread, I came SOOOO close to finishing the Director's Cut difficulty for never having played this mission ever. Got through missions 1 and 2 with the minimum objectives mostly through sheer dumb luck. I had to cheat and use a walk through to finish mission 3 where
I couldn't find a lever to open the drain, and mission 4 when I didn't realize where
Milly was even after staring at her. It blew me away with how good it was.

Congrats Euphrosyne. Nobody yet has claimed to have finished on Director's Cut without help but I contend it is possible as all necessary clues are there. The difficulties are no greater than other FMs but probably there are just more of them so more chance of getting stuck on some. :)
Anyway, nice to read that players are still enjoying Nightwatch!

Sorry, Fidcal, I disagree now.
No offense, but I replayed part 1 and 2 already with the help of the first thread of this game and a lot of patience, because I got stuck at several places and had to reload a lot. Nevertheless. again I say: Applause for the storyline.
But now I'm in part 3: I got stuck several times and now I'm NOT able to use the
rope arrow to get to the lever in the whirlpool. I tried at all angles. If I get to close, I can't lower after some point, if I get to far, the swirl gets to me, even when I'm just next to the lever. I even jumped and landed for a second on the level before falling down
, nearling breaking my mouse, using the clickfunction so often, but nothing works.Apart from other annoying moments, for me this was the worst!
Even if it is a "computerthing" ... I really think such a mission should be tested a lot more, because it gets annoying. :grr: :grr: and one tends to let it go. :(
I'll try again later on.

Sorry about the difficulties and I do hope you persevere Gloria. In that particular situation there are at least two places to shoot the rope. I always played from the other side away from the pipe. But anyway, more importantly, I hope you are aware that you need to activate the lever in the control room. It's some years since I played this so I can't remember if it is on all difficulty levels but I'm fairly sure there is a clue that you need to activate it. In other words, the lever will not work unless you first use the activation lever in the control room above on the wall somewhere near the body. That's the only reason I can think of why it might not highlight.
What I mean about the difficulties is that there are lots and lots of FMs with difficulties where I have had to retry over and over for instance to make a jump or get past some guards. But many FMs might only have one or two such difficulties. Night Watch has many more and many are more original so not obvious. I was reading the hint list for Night Watch earlier today and I was staggered at how much there is in these four levels!
Night Watch was tested extensively over I think two months and I made many changes on the recommendations of the beta testers but I was reluctant to reduce it any more than it now is.
You have got this far anyway so I hope you think it's worth it. :)

:erm: :eww: Sorry Fidcall, you're só right!
I never guessed I could have missed 1 lever up there, but somehow I reloaded at some point, while I just had hit ONE lever. Duhhhhhhh!!!!!!! :tsktsk: I thought I've had all 2 of them ... :eww:
I could have been trying endlessy hahaha.
I read your comment on your choices and I do understand.
.... and YES, I do think it's worth it. :thumb:

I did also found that tunnel, but I'm not sure if it's an easteregg.
