Alrighty, well, this latest gem was cooked up by MsLedd (proving once again that she is a flippin' genius who can out-UBB the munkies at UBBDev... But you already knew that, right? ;))
It's Instant Spoiler Code, Laze and Gem.
No more fiddling with F7F7F7 or D7D7E9 or wacky HTML jargon or other such foofery that you'd rather not have cluttering up yer synapses. No more trying to hide a spoiler only to discover that the background colour of the post is the wrong one, or that someone ahead of you in the thread has deleted their post and so now everyone's spoilers shine out like shiny things.
No more of that.
Here's the way to do it:
<BLOCKQUOTE><FONT size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, sans-serif">Spoiler:</FONT>
<SPAN STYLE="background-color:#000080"><FONT color="#000080">Put yer spoiler text in here.</FONT></SPAN></BLOCKQUOTE>
(That's SPOILER and /SPOILER inside of square brackets [])
And if yer feeling particularly lazy, it's been added to the Instant UBB Thingie on the posting pages.
Ah, but, the thing that'll pop into the window when you hit the Spoiler Button will not bookend your text. It'll show up as {SPOILER}{/SPOILER} and you'll have to go the extra mile and back the cursor up 10 spots. But that's okay, right? ;)
And yes, that's the way it's gonna look, because it's way hard to make it find out what the appropriate background colour is supposed to be and use it. And it's gonna say "Spoiler" like that because, well, some people are just kinda slow, aren't they? ;)
