Hello,
First of all I want to apologize, because my English skills are not so good, so if you could answer me with simple English it will be best.
I have finished TMA but something in the plot is not entire clear to me: why Karras hired Sheriff Truart in the first place to kill Garrett specificly ? Is Karras familiar with Garrett's abilities and affraid he might disturb his plans ? Karras asked Sheriff Truart to bring him living humans for the project so Garrett is not just a thief who Sheriff Truart needs to bring to Karras because in the mission ambush Garrett said the men wanted to kill him. I hope I was clear enough.

Karras knows Garrett from the past. Since he used to be a Hammerite, he knew about how Garrett and the Hammerites allied against the Trickster. Karras gave Garrett his mechanical eye. He gave Garrett the eye hoping Garrett would become an ally of Karras himself while the Mechanist Order was growing. When Garrett stayed independent, and when he began to stumble upon the Mechanist plot, and stole from them as well (Shipping... and Receiving), Karras knew he was a threat. In Framed, Garrett caused a lot of trouble for the City Watch, who were working with Karras through Truart to arrest and kill pagans. It's unknown what Garrett's associate Sammy told the City Watch when he betrayed Garrett (Ambush).
