What the Hell does "creep" do? I've played through TPD and TMA, and always it does next to nothing. Guess it should make Garrett - well - creep. You know, through small windows, low passages etc.
That's "crawling".

lol - this cracked me up, I imagined Palantir as an inexperienced thief hanging from a rope arrow in a burrick cave as one keeps on strolling past him. In his inexperience and fear of fumbling a KO on these noxious beasts he resourcefully manages to scribble this note on some spare paper while still hanging onto the rope. Astonishingly, burrick still sniffing about calmly beneath his feet, he then ties the query onto an arrow and clumsily manages to fire his message into the ttlg forum. Relieved, he grasps securely back onto the rope, hanging around waiting for a reply (hoping it will come soon as his arms are getting tired)
Firstly, yeah, I'm a stupid thief, I'm playing Normal difficulty.
Secondly, I'm visiting Thieves Guild now.

Hey, trust me! It really didn't attack!

When it comes to "pointless questions" here's one for ya:
What the Hell does "creep" do?
What the Hell does "slide" do? I've seen it in the controls but I can't figure out what it's supposed to do.

IIRC, it means it causes your turning keys to be treated as strafing keys.
Yes, that type of control scheme is a holdover from the pre-mouselook era.
