Whew! Okay, check in DARK.BND and especially, user.bnd in the main folder, and cfg0003.bnd in the SAVES folder (this one is your custom bindings that you set under the game's Options menu). People have problems with one overriding the other. Don't make any changes or click Save, but note any differences in settings. It'll be hard to read.

What operating system are you using and when is the last time you re-installed/imaged it?

You've lost me.
What does that have to do with screenshots?
Also, I don't have a cfg0003.
The other files cannot be opened.

Vista, and what do you mean by re-install/image? I installed the game about a week ago.

Look in the bindings menu, I think it's listed in there (at least in T2). If you have installed DDFix, it will be PrntScrn regardless of what's in the bindings.

Also, did you check the bindings menu as I suggested?

I didn't know you were talking to be about that, and I don't know what the bindings menu is :x

Go into the game's main menu and choose Options, and Customize Controls. What you see there is stored in the *.bnd files in the SAVES folder, starting with cfg0003, usually. The others are default settings.
Bindings, Nephthys, bindings. Right-click, Open with...Notepad.
If you don't have cfg0003, cfg0004, cfg0005, etc., and you have not erased anything in the SAVES folder, then nevermind that one.

Or just use FRAPS.
And to take shots of menus, maps etc, Irfan View

OK, I think I'll be of help, now that I've arose: (

I use it often, but I warn you against using it religiously, as some elements in thief don't come out correctly, sometimes, depending on if the computer your using handles on-screen rendering differently (Which is hard to tell from experiencing thief first hand, but alot of the screenies ppl post of thief on here, you can tell how they have to create variable image qualities to meet their specific limits.)

thanks guys, I'll see what I can do.
But I still don't see the connection between my customised controls, and taking screenshots.

If you're using DDFix, it's just PrintScreen. There's no Alt. You also asked if DDFix applied to T1. In my case it did, but it says nothing about it on the download page. In other words, try it if you want, but back up the thief .exe file.
People have mentioned the keybind file because it'll tell you what key combinations perform what functions e.g. taking a screenshot.
