I always play a quest on easy.
I've found the room with the blue chest, the big bed, the level on the bottom of the headboard, but there is no lady there! And no key!
I also checked outside for a floating key, but theres no floating keys there!
The only women I found in this mission are the cook and that corpse I mentioned that appeared out there when I had been inside the house. But they're not carrying any keys at all!

There is definitely something wrong. The woman should be there and she has the key you need. I'd suggest deleting the mission and downloading a new copy to see if it makes a difference.
Another possible problem could be if you are playing using Thief the Dark Project rather than Thief Gold. I checked and this one was made for Gold. Sometimes, people and objects just aren't there if you're using the wrong game. If you're using TDP, do you have the patch installed that allows you to play TG missions? If not, that could be the problem.

I'm using TDP, never bothered getting Thief Gold, sicne I think its a rip off to buy an entire game for 3 more quests, I've always thought that Gold editions is a way for the came producers to make a little extra money without making much effort!
And no I don't have the patch installed I dunno where to get a hold of it! :)
