Ok, maybe I should've asked someone before wasting +2 hours in this. :p
This discussion is this |___________________________| long. (And on a very wrong thread.)
My point was this long. |_|
"It is possible to build steam-powered digital circuits that don't use electricity, by designing valves that open and close according to steam pressures applied to the different input pipes of the valves."
Yes! You can use any stream you want for a circuit, from the water to the steam. I just was doing irony, analizing your circuit. But I knew just from the begin that circuit was unuseful. :) I've told it was useless because you can neither turn on and out a light with that circuit, since its logic was a random union of different factors. But also if it would be correct, there would need million of that circuit to create an intelligence like those of the robots (image recognition, action programming, memorizing, computing of movement dosage), so, if you would have other streams than electricity, you would have a "brain" greater than an entire city :laff: That's why the circuit functions with electrity, because they could be so little. Plust, if you would have circuits functioning with steams, or water, you could have possible erosion damage by use (think at the pressure in the pipes), so how could you repare very little leaks with human hands, or instruments? It's quite more easy doing an ensemble of circuits with electricity. :)
That's why I guess the Childs Of Karras reasons with electricity. The steams is needed only to fuel an inner turbine, and for the devices movement (arms and legs, plus launch of the projectiles from the cannon in the combat robots).
However, this is the only way to make addictions in logic, I guess :) :

Yes! Neo mechanists that have built their "Builder" by creating a massive steam-powered brain! :laff:

Quite scary compared to praying at statues and graven images and effigies, to worship such an iron beast.

All of this was moved here from the fan-art thread.

And I'm sorry for bringing it up. :erm:

No no! Good idea! This is better than starting a new thread. Go with it, man!
