Hey guys and girls, i'm a very big fan of the Thief series (even if i didn't play to Thief 3 yet..) but anyway..the first time i play to Dark Project i was amazed(a LONG time ago), and from that moment i couldn't stop playing.
My favorite mission is Down At The Bonehoard..gotta love the place..how you feel when you enter the place..how lonely you feel around there..oh well, i'll stop talking now, just wnated to present myself..am i the only one here from South America?

Welcome! You're not the only one here visiting from South America.
Some people really loved Thief: Deadly Shadows (Thief 3), but a lot of people felt disappointed. It was kind of fun for me, but I haven't touched it in months. :erg: I can't say I'll be looking forward to playing it any time soon.
There are many Spanish speaking Taffers here, so if you have a bit of trouble translating anything, just let someone know! MrDuck is one of our key Spanish-English vatos ;)

I've seen some taffers from South America here yet, Argentina, as I remember. Try the search function!
But you are definitely the first Uruguayan, I've talked to so far.
TDP and TMA are masterworks in ambience and tension, and as far as I played TDS, that too.
But, in TDS you have the option to win the game as a fighter and runner, guards are sometimes so stupid, that you you can ouitwit tehm with a simple trick, so you must be disciplined to sustain the typical thief tension.
I prefer in the so called Ironman style, i.e. I don't quicksave while playing a level. I could be sometimes frustrating, but increase the immersion IMHO.
If you look above, there exists a thread about the so called minimalist project. This is a fan made patch that give you a more old thief-style gameplay in TDS.

I definitelly agree with this, and i try to resist to the urge of blackjacking every guard in the level :p

Welcome to the forums mrottondo! :thumb:
First of all, there are many spanish taffers around here, I know from unreal_taffer being argentinian and of course of me, from Spain. By the way, I always wanted to know if t'was more spanish taffers around here... This could be a nice thread to do so.
TMA and TDP was always untouchable for me comparing with TDS (as surely will be with Thi4f) because I thought it was too difficult to adjust the original Thief spirit to these times, although I recommend you to play it if only to know the story and to broad your horizons

"Welcome"? He arrived here five years ago!
I dread to think how long it takes you to ask your guests if they want a drink!
