If you by DromEd demos mean they can't be loaded via FM selector or similar, and don't have goals, you are mistaking.
They all are! Therefor they should be included, in my opinion.
If someone would like to make all the missions, fortuna don't know about, available, please let me know.
They are all in my possession. ;)
fortuna and Nickie, thanks for all you hard Work. Thanks for reveal unknown missions for me. :D

That's just the way this kind of work goes. You can be absolutely sure you have everything right and then someone spots something wrong. But that's what's so great about this community. Projects like this become a group effort.

I would just like to say that fortuni did all the work. I just answered a few questions and gave my opinion on some things.
As for the inclusion/exclusion of DromEd demos, different criteria were involved in the decision: whether it was listed in the EdGuild tutorials, whether it had an FM Forum thread, whether it was listed on download sites as DromEd only, etc. etc.

I think the problem with demos is that it is a very generic term, in the early days people made demos, usually with only 1 or 2 rooms, to show off a neat new idea, such as how to slide down a shute (dreamslide), or how to pick locks, or new AIs or objects and weapons...these were usually set in only one or two rooms, in which you could simply wander, around have a look and then end the mission when you wanted, sometimes by pressing a button.
Later people made more complex demos, mini missions in which they introduced a new weapon or AI, such as Droid ( a William the Taffer demo in which he ported a droid over from SS2)....these are worth playing as they are Fan Missions in their own right, and as such i included them, even if they were labelled demos
Then again some people made fan missions which were truly experimental....in them they tried something really novel, such as batdemo, in which the author ported a cartoon batman style story into a Thief FM, or Resurgence - The Lost Crown in which the author tried out a Film Noir type FM, both of which are demos as they were demonstrating a novel approach to Thief ( even if they did not catch on...I wonder why not :cheeky:)
Then again there are a number of contest FMs that the zip file describes as a demo...even if they clearly were not....think 'The Lost City'
There are over 100 demos out there and i believe i was right to include the ones that were playable missions with objectives, loot to be had, and proper gameplay ....as we all know and love, whilst at the same time ignoring the Dromed ( Hey look what i have managed to do) demos, those that were purely there to show off a new obj, AI or texture in a very small map, and i'm sorry to say it but some were just a mess, can't finish, objectives don't tick off, crashes too often....i know i played them all
I think at the end of the day i got most of my decisions correct, but i accept some will always argue that 'this FM should be included' or 'why is that in the guide', but putting a guide like this together will always cause debate ...especially where things such as demos are concerned, but at the end of the day both nickie and i agreed with what i left out and what i left in, and to me that is a sign of a job well done.

Thanks for your explonations. :D
Totally clarifying.
I know I'm a bit finicky.
But sometimes I can't help it.
I'll let down my weapons now! ;)

No problem karstenpontoppi, i'm glad you raised all your concerns, i'm sure others would have also thought on the same lines as you, they just didn't say so, and it was my fault for not being crystal clear in my reasoning from the beginning.....and without people like you being finicky, glaring inaccuracies would remain in uncorrected....so thank you for being finicky....and for point out all my errors of which i am sure there will be more to come...:laff::laff:

I'll be standing in the dark, ready to correct you! :laff:
