I click on the link form the resources tab ((
http://www.angelfire.com/games4/shadowspawn/)). What's to do wrong? The site just has lots of ads that show up (and block visibility to the site contents).

Well, the bunny mesh doesn't compile at all. It crashes meshbld.exe. (MeshUp version 1.00 by Shadowspawn. Can't open input file! Status=2) The burricks don't crash. meshbld completes, but the mesh is all scrunched up. Aargh!

I feel like such an idiot. The model works just fine. I've just remembered that you need to include the .cal file. I can't believe I forgot about that. :tsktsk:

The bin + cal work fine. But that's not what I need. I need the 3ds or e file with limit planes so that I can make the burrick or bunny into something else. I may give up and just use the bunny as is and retexture it some... assuming that its bin + cal work.

My point was, if you see ads anywhere on the internet, you should be using an adblocker. I see no ads on Randy's site, for example. I accidentally turned it off one day while listening to a playlist on Youtube and was jolted by an ad in the middle of a song... hadn't had that happen in years.

adblocker? I normally don't go places with ads, so I've never thought I needed one.

OK. I've tried converting Shadowspawn's burrick 3ds file to a bin and it works fine for me. I'm first using N3ds2e.exe, editing the .e file to use phong on it's texture, then use DOBURR.bat to get the .bin file without errors.
here's what the .bat looks like
Code:
meshbld %1.e %1.bin burrick.map -mburrick.mjo -v -cburrbase.cal
How are you doing it, Larry?

I'm using NV's 3ds to bin utility, setting it to mesh mode and burrick. I'll try doing it manually like you did and see what happens.
Edit:
GOT IT WORKING!! I haven't tried MESHUP. That may have been the problem. I think NV's front-end uses MESHUP ... maybe. Thank you. I think I can go forward with the the chipmunkbeast from here. Thanks again.

http://spirited-tech.com/images/burrick.JPGSo I can take this burrick .3ds and modify it into a new creature and import in to my game?

If you are careful and if you want either the frog or burrick motions and are willing to make the voice sound files/schemas appropriate to your beastie, yes.
