About objectives order. - by Lady Rowena

Sorry, this is my umpteenth beginner question. I'm going mad with setting the objectives. :(
Let's say I have 3 visible objectives at the beginning. Objectives 4, 5, 6 are invisible. Objective 7 is Don't kill, but it doesn't appear at the start of the mission.
Please, before I restart writing everything from scratch, can someone tell me if the objectives must be written in order of appearance? In other words, my objective 7 should be objective 4 instead?
Thanks.

The order is always based on the goal number. It doesn't matter when each goal becomes visible. So, at first you'll see 1, 2 and 3. If 7 then becomes visible you'll see 1, 2, 3, 7. If 5 then becomes visible you'll see 1,2,3,5,7.

No, you can have objectives in the middle which are hidden at the start. Your objective #7 should be visible now if everything is configured properly.

Oh my, why it does not shows then? It is the most simple of my objectives. The others are all "no type" and they gave me a headache to set them up.
Well, I'll check it, even if there's not too much to check, I made the objectives with TOW.
Thanks. :)

Presumably you have a QuestVarTrap that makes the goal visible. Look in the Quest Var property and make sure there isn't a space at the start or the end.

No, I found it! There was a '0' instead of '1'. :o
Fortunately I was able to correct it directly in the 'mission quest data' menu. Is this a new feature? I remember that we had to use a delete all.cmd.
Thanks again. :)

If anyone is still reading this....I have another problem. I made an unuseful objective, about no-killing. I could delete it, but the problem is that, as I already said, that they are almost all no type objectives. I ordered them by numbers and I also gave names with numbers, and I am afraid to make a mess if I dare to touch them.
What if I make the unuseful objective invisible so that it never shows up?

There should be no problem in that. Just set its visibility to 0 and never reveal it, and there should be no problems.

Aahhh, this is a relief. Thanks. :)

No this feature has always been in dromed. :) If all you are doing is editing the data then it can be done in the
mission quest data menu.
