Action Doom 2: Urban Brawl. - by lost_soul

Has anyone else played this TC for Doom 2? What do you think of it? It reminds me of playing Streets of Rage at a friend's house on her Genesis back around 1992. Even the music in this TC remininds me of something you would hear on the genesis (and I mean that in a good way!).
There is actually a progressing story and narration, but the content may offend some. I am very impressed with what they have done with the Doom engine.

I thought it was a clever concept with okay execution.
I liked the house in the country bit.
BTW since you couldn't be fucked to post a link, I'll do it. (

Doesn't require doom2.wad like the original, btw, so it stands alone.

Yeah we already had (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=122918) a thread* about this. I was raving about it back then but the truth is that I never played past the first level. The presentation is top-notch, and it's even kinda visually impressive, for a Doom-mod, but the gameplay just wasn't any fun.
* It was quite difficult to dig up with the search function though, so you're forgiven for posting a new thread.

I beat the game today. It's cool because you get to make choices that determine which level you play. I started laughing when Scuba Steve came out of the pool and attacked me. He's the character from that Sandler movie "Big Daddy".

He's also the internet nickname for the guy who made the Action Dooms and is a big member of the community.

I'm impressed as well. That said, either Urban Brawl is quite hard on the medium setting or I really suck at playing it.
