Firemage is a he and as skacky said, is not retired but busy with the campaign. Not sure where dbrilliant got that info.

I actually think brillant got confused with a previous post submitted by Squada where he said :

In fact, he meant I told him Gaetane has retired after the release of her wonderful campaign The Black Frog. Not me! :laff:

I've been working on that seven year old mission I was working on before Thief stopped working on my computer. I have it running again on a Windows 7 machine.I don't feel good about it though. I've been hacking at it and trying to make it workable, but it feels like the worst thing I've ever made. Not only that it looks like Old Dark, not NewDark.

Quite a lot of great things have been done with Old Dark! Including your earlier missions, which, from what I took away, were always unpretentious in appearance, but excellent in their gameplay.
(You may also be a victim of "familiarity breeds contempt".)

I agree. Your missions have always been among my favorites. I wouldn't worry that it looks like Old Dark, but ultimately you are the one that needs to be satisfied.

Definitely! There are few if any people around here who will not play a mission just because it "looks like Old Dark". Some of us will even prefer it to look that way. :D The key thing for most players is solid gameplay and story, and you always deliver in those areas.
