And if you can afford it, save as separate files.

There is an earlier save but half of everything I did has not been done on that save...looking at the problem every single light in the hierarchy has inherited the extinguishable property and it stems to when I created the lovely custom burning brazier object...the earlier saves do not have that brazier and the lights are as they should be...heck even my lite mushrooms have a flame.

If you are saving as .mis and .gam files instead of .cow files, you need to back up the .gam before you save over it, not just the .mis. So you don't have a prior version of the .gam that you are using? Yeah, you are going to have to undo your .gam changes, save it to a new name, then hook up the one mission to that and the other to the other .gam (If I understood you right that you have two missions which shared a .gam but you messed up one when you saved the .gam for the other. Is that right?)

:tsktsk:Yes.:p
But it is funny that the earlier save uses the same .gam and is ok??.
Umm...I think I've fixed it, I deleted all the braziers, deleted everything in the object hierarchy, then deleted all the meta-properties in the lanterns associated with the extinguishable torches, saved as a .cow, saved the gamesys under a different name, reloaded the .cow and....the lanterns no longer have torch properties..:D

Just so you know, since your last post suggests that you don't - you don't have to save the .gam if you're using a .cow instead. The .cow includes everything in the .mis and the .gam all in one file.

There's always been something kuku about dromed. At one point all of the lights in dark.gam acquired joint properties when they weren't present before and I never modified dark.gam. :p Its no surprise that your objects have strange properties added Ravenhook.

I will remember that...I now only have two warnings when opening the .cow and I think that it refers to missing textures...there are no blue wedges left and I can enter game mode and navigate around ok and this is in my sparkling new editor setup too...I have a ton of missing objects and textures but I can live with that as I don't have to redo any of the basic architecture.

I think that interface/sync error was from either an older version of dromed that only LGS used in the earlier days or it was referencing something on their network drive. That would have been the easiest way to share resources without having to copy new/redone resources to every pc St their offices... Just my speculation

Sounds like the objects are missing from your obj folder...
